Yeah is a class III and overkill but you never know if you need to tow something.

It’s been 100% worth the extra cost for me. Tilting the rack to open the trunk, built in locks, the way it folds up low and tight without blocking your backup camera, much sturdier construction, built in wheel straps all make a huge difference in day to day use.
I second the advice about not going too cheap on a rack as there are some features that make the whole loading/unloading routine so much quicker and easier.
