You can always get an adapter bar which should allow you to hang it level.
Something like this one. I'm not saying that one in particular as I have no idea if its good or not, just one like that one.
To add to what everyone else is saying, you want to have one of these if your bike is going to be carried on anything but a tray-style rack. Full-suspension bikes with the shock mounted to the top tube do not play nice with hanging-style racks.
