I have used it successfully on the inside where the rear support bars scrape and eventually tear the top from open/closing. It has even held up in AZ summer heat and the physical forces of the bar scraping over it. For the outside, I have one patch of this stuff:

It is clear, looks.... reasonable.. It'll hold me over until I buy a new top in a few years.

Since some jackhole vandalized my set of backrollers a few weeks ago and I've ordered this to repair the situation. I have not had a lot of luck getting good data on longevity of these kits, but if it keeps me waterproof through this season I'll be a happy camper.

I bought some black gorilla tape for the inside of the soft-top, and this for the outside of my Vinyl Soft-Top.

This pretty much sums it up for me the last ten years. About every three it has issues but it is the only one that I haven't been on the floor in the morning. Heck, I will even go 2 nights sometimes without re-inflating.

Mine was leaking last year and I found the spot on the edge of the motor. When rolled up, the corner had been putting pressure and put a small tear there. Worked great this year!

Nice work! You should be proud! I hope you post some pictures of her in action when you take her out for her first run. If you haven't already, you might want to invest in a decent patch kit, since all inflatables eventually get a hole in them. This stuff works pretty well if you can wait till overnight for it to cure. I also always carry a role of gorrila tape when I'm tubing for an instant fix that will get me home.
