I've seen cat shelves that look pretty nice, and they are kinda the same concept as a tower. They install into the wall and are pretty DIY. Here is an example of something you could do, actually pretty cheaply if you do it yourself! Alternatively, here is a smaller cat shelf that is available on Amazon if DIY isn't your thing. :)
