Rise of Nagash is one of the better novels, and because it was recently re-released, one of the easier to find. My local book store has it on their shelves. It was originally 3 novels, though this version has them all in one.
For fantasy novels The Gotrek and Felix books are great fun and through out the series you'll learn a great deal about the world and the various races and factions. Therese also the time of legend specifically the ones about Sigmar and Nagash that are great and give you a lot of backstory to arguably the 2 most important characters. Both the sigmar and nagash books where recently reprinted in new omnibus collections. and Sigmar Omnibus
