I have been using this dock as a primary dock since Aug of 2018. It has never failed me and works wonders.
I use the Nintendo power brick to power it so that could be why.

edit: also I should say this does not include an AC adapter, but if you are replacing your Nintendo branded one you can reuse that adapter. I just bought an Amazon basics one and it works fine.
