My tactical man-purse. I've been using this for 3 and a half years now, still holding up well!
We don't have permanent assigned units at my service, so sometimes I'll get a truck with only one working car outlet and/or get a dead toughbook in the morning.

Here is the link to that color, the other colors are a few bucks more. Be sure to emphasize that it is a tactical man purse. It fits my CCW just fine.

In it I have
I do design now but my job used to be to fly in and rack, stack, connect, and configure in a colo or to refresh in company owned locations. This was all I really needed to get by.
Get her one of these and you'll never have to ever again. Also super damn durable.
I roll with something like this
I do some photography. I shoot with a canon T3i and I use two lenses primarily: my 70:30 f4-5.6 and my 85 f1.8. I can fit both of those plus the lens hoods for both and the camera body in the bag comfortably and have plenty of space in the other compartments for my batteries, SD cards, a couple microfiber cloths and other small cleaning tools, as well as other personal stuff I need. It's super sturdy and any compartment that has a part exposed to the exterior has a rubber waterproof coating. It's pretty damn cheap for a really (and I mean REALLY) well made bag that easily fits the essentials. Any small bag that fits a camera can be a camera bag.. So don't go looking specifically for a "camera bag" because you're limiting yourself.

I'm looking towards this or this
I rock it hard, right by my own purse.
Right now I'm using a UTG messenger bag. I really should have paid another $40 and gotten the Maxpedition, but I have to admit it's held up well over 2 years so far. No threads have pulled out and all the zippers still work.
I used to carry a surplus West German army backpack to work, but it was honestly too big and I ended up with a ton of crap in there that I didn't need. This bag is small enough to hold the essentials and not get overstuffed with old bills, papers, books, etc.
The UTG bag is big enough for me to hold my headphones, a bunch of USB drives, multitool and some screwdrivers, crimping tool, flashlight, tape, pens, gloves, band-aids, neosporin and some allergy and pain meds.
