I use velcro cable ties.
I prefer this method because I can cut it to the lenght I need and I don't have to re-do it if I need to adjust the straps.
The keys were originally bright white. :) It's an old keyboard now, so the keycaps are showing wear.

The keycaps that came with the Ducky Goat, IIRC were ABS shine-through keycaps, which will discolor over time/use like normal keycaps. I have a backup set of PBT double-shot shine-through white keycaps from a separate vendor that supposedly will stay white through a longer period of use. (I haven't swapped them yet, but maybe I should... they ARE starting to look a little ivory-ish.)
