It's probably far from the best, but I just got one of these basic "Universal VR Headset Stand".
US links: Here and here (I don't know why there are a bunch of different brands, it seems to be an identical product)

Nowhere for the controllers to go so it's nothing special (I've seen some people set up a nifty station with built in controller charging slots and whatnot), but it feels better than just dumping the Vive on my desk.

I use this to store the headset and this to hang the controllers. The stand has a very good storage system for the Vive's long cable. If you'd be willing to have your Vive on display this is quite a nice way to do it.
