I have a very similar model (E series) that is working out well.

Vizio has a 50' 4K model currently on sale at Target/Best Buy/Amazon for $628. I'm probably gonna pick one of these up myself.

For 750 the Vizio m is your best bet. It's a 4k uhdtv. The 50 inch on amazon is 628 plus tax right now. I just bought this TV a couple weeks ago and am happy with it. Vizio tvs use sony panels which are very good. They are definately better than the panels samsung uses. Lg probably has better quality but the 4k uhdtvs would be out of your price range for a 50-55 inch tvs. http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M43-C1-43-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00T63YUJO?th=1&psc=1

A quick look on Amazon shows this Sharp or this Vizio are the only options of name brands I've heard of before. Unless you're looking to increase the price, or go refurbished, or find something on sale.

Hmm... yeah I'm leaning towards Samsung too. Seems more future proof than the Vizio (and higher quality.)

Is there any other TV I should be looking into for 4K HDR UHD around the $500-1200 range?
