Not a single recommendation for George Perez's Wonder Woman (omnibus, trade v1)? You disappoint me, /r/DCcomics. Also, have you read only the New 52 Birds of Prey? Because there are reprints of the Dixon BoP run from the 90's coming out currently (v1, v2, v3), which I found enjoyable. The Cassandra Cain run of Batgirl is actually just starting to have trades printed (volume 1, volume 2)

> That’s some awesome stuff! Maybe I should read some of these.

Indeed and sure you should read some of these :).

> Do you have any issues you would recommend to start?

I think the best idea would be to start with the Post Crisis/New Earth Origin run from George Perez(it's pretty much the start of the modern WW and her most popular version and all the scans i posted are anyways from Post Crisis issues):

There are also collections for his run:

Personally, I think Perez's run is the place to start (since most people don't want to "start" at the 1940s, for good reason). Perez develops every thing in Diana's world from the ground up; her characterization, her friends and family, her powers and weapons, her enemies, her world. Nearly everything about Diana, even to a minor extent Azzarello's run, can be traced back to Perez's run.

In addition, he creates this story that feels epic and mythological. The problem is... Perez's writing style is a little dated for a lot of modern readers. Personally, I love it, and it adds greatly to mythological feel of the story arc. But it can be off-putting to some. If that doesn't bother you, then absolutely start with Perez.

Now is a good time to get into Perez's run, too, because DC has finally recollected his early issues.

You can start with the Wonder Woman by George Perez Omnibus, Volume 01, which collects issues 01-24 and Annual 01. It's available at your local comic shops, on InStockTrades (this place has the best price currently), on Amazon, and I'm sure many other retailers. A second omnibus has been preliminarily announced for May 2017. No official content has been announced yet, but I would suspect issues 25-48 and Annual 02. Issue 49 is a recap issue which would work perfectly at the beginning of a final ...by Perez omnibus.

If you'd rather not spend that type of money, don't want to invest in an omnibus for a series you've never read, or just prefer trades, DC recently released a new trade: Wonder Woman by George Perez, Volume 01. This trade collects issues 01-14, which is a great introduction to the world that George Perez creates. It was released only a month ago, so it should be readily available at your local comic shop. Or, you can check out InStockTrades, Amazon, or wherever. A second volume trade collection has been announced for May 2017. It will collect issues 15-24 and Annual 01. Presumably, if the trades sell well, they'll continue collecting Perez's run as writer in paperbacks, after the omnibuses come out.

TBF, this isn't her "classic" costume, that's this one. There have been several variations on her costume since then. Even the one you've posted isn't her original post-Crisis costume, it's the version that came after that.

Personally, my faves are her definitive post-Crisis origin, starting with George Perez's 'Gods and Mortals' arc (basically, Wonder Woman Vol. 2, 1986-2006 and Vol. 3, 2006-2010), and The Legend of Wonder Woman. You can find the first omnibus volume of Perez's Wonder Woman run here, and the second volume comes out in May. The Legend of Wonder Woman can either be found here if you want it in print or on Comixology if you want to read the full run now.

Both are amazing; George Perez basically reinvented Wonder Woman and his run is considered the modern foundation for Diana and her world. LOWW is an all-ages reimagining of Diana's early days as Wonder Woman using her Golden Age origin story and mixing in a tiny bit of Perez's story and has beautiful art, an engaging plot, and good writing.

Here is the link:

http://www.amazon.com/Wonder-Woman-George-Perez-Omnibus/dp/1401255477/ref=pd_ys_ir_b_35

The part after the "ref=" is the referral. This stores some cookies on your computer for 24 hours. While you have these cookies, anything you buy off Amazon gives whoever made that referral a 4-8% commission on the product. A lot of subreddits ban referral links since people shouldn't be directly profiting by posting content on reddit.

It's not a referral link in the traditional sense. Amazon throws code at the end of their URLs so they can get statistics about how people get to the page.

For example http://www.amazon.com/Wonder-Woman-George-Perez-Omnibus/dp/1401255477/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418096825&sr=8-1&keywords=wonder+woman+omnibus links to the same page, but has a different URL. It tells Amazon that I found the page by searching Wonder Woman Omnibus on their web page.

DC (omitting "out of print"):

He isn't. If you search "omnibus" on Amazon then will see Morrison's Doom patrol and Perez's WW has them listed as only name and often if you look up the names will see one name is writer and other is the artist. Which makes sense for Perez since he did art and story, but Johns and Morrison had a few artists through the books collected and the first volume also had issues written by Tomasi so would not be all Johns' issues anyways.

Golden Age omnibus

George Perez hardcover omnibus
//Half the George Perez omnibus in paperback but I don't know if they'll complete it with volume 2

Paperback collection of the first half of Greg Rucka

They just reissued JLA - A League Of One so that should be easy to find too.

No collection of Gail Simone's run, sadly. And I have trouble finding trades of it new. Hopefully they reissue it.
