>The 4-6% is at the same settings but $50+ cheaper.

RX 5700 is the same price as a 2060.

For a blower card even, you'll probably be faster with the EVGA cooler, as it will auto overclock by about 4%-6% if left to it's own devices.

>Are you willing to pay 20FPS+ for RTX?

Absolutely yes.

The emissive lighting and GI as demonstrated in Metro Exodus per this video is absolutely worth a 20FPS+ tax to me.

The RT visuals in Control are also absolutely worth the performance cost.

It's the same price on Amazon with free one day for prime members, because fuck Newegg

I would get the 5700. Great price to performance. Reference 5700 isn't nearly as loud or hot as the xt is.

thanks alot for your assist, as a summary for self, and you ill be getting:

MSI B450-A PRO MAX -is this one a must? there are a few motherboards that cost around 30$ less, just wondering if theres a real difference? eitherway, linking the same one u gave.

could u just confirm these models are correct according to amazon so ill start looking for these?

That seems to be the price they go for but you can buy a brand new RX 5700 for the same price.

One more thing do you know if this would be better to the build and also be compatible with each other still ? XFX Radeon Rx 5700 8GB GDDR6 3xDP HDMI, Pci-E AMD Graphics Card (RX-57XL8MFG6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T81CGFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7zL0DbH9C1XZ1

u/arkhira · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Oh my mistake guess its not. The qualified listing is a little bit more expensive. This is the one from the Amazon AMD page: https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-GDDR6-Graphics-RX-57XL8MFG6/dp/B07T81CGFY?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1.

vertical (axial?)

horizontal/lateral

Blower

My understanding is that the way air flows through and out of the card is different in each of these cards.

>requires more than 6GB on your GPU at 1080p ?

Forza horizon 3, watch dogs 2, gta v for whatever reason even tho it runs fine at 2 gb vram but it decided to allocate half the city it seems and cod advanced warfare which uses 7,5 if you enable all the caching settings.

Its a bit of an issue if you play newer stuff so yeah get the 5700, dont mind the reviews, look at the price/performance

u/hbn3141 · 1 pointr/buildapc

you'll still get 60 fps on low-medium settings on your current, but for 500 you could definitely hit high settings 1080p 144 fps. replace motherboard then ram and still have enough for a decent gpu upgrade - especially if u sell 970. ram, motherboard should be around 100 bucks, very good value possible gpu upgrade

If you don't mind me asking which of these do you reccomend since I have no idea how to tell them apart Asus AMD Radeon Rx 5700 PCIe 4.0 VR Ready Graphics Card with 8GB GDDR6 Memory and Support for up to 6 Monitors (RX5700-8G) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TLZX9WB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_PEnNDbRP84TTH XFX Radeon Rx 5700 8GB GDDR6 3xDP HDMI, Pci-E AMD Graphics Card (RX-57XL8MFG6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T81CGFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gxnNDb89R3B8S MSI Gaming Radeon RX 5700 256-bit HDMI/DP 8GB GDRR6 HDCP Support DirectX 12 Single Fan VR Ready OC Navi Architecture Graphics Card (Radeon RX 5700 8G) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TLZXWYB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OFnNDbJW5JQ20

Thank you for your build. I do have a couple questions:

CPU: Looks great

Motherboard: Pc PartPicker warning: Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
Also, I see there is an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX on amazon for $10 more than the Gaming Plus MAX. It seems to be very similar, the main difference to me is the color scheme. Are these actually similarly performing motherboards, and would I create issues by using the Tomahawk for the preferred color scheme? Link: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Crossfire-Motherboard-B450-Tomahawk/dp/B07WF6ZQST/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3L1UL77PVON4S&keywords=b450+tomahawk+max&qid=1570719603&s=electronics&sprefix=b450+toma%2Celectronics%2C184&sr=1-2

Memory: Looks great

Storage: Looks great

Video Card: Looks great. Only question is PowerColor vs XFX. The XFX seems to be $20 cheaper. Not sure why. Link: https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-GDDR6-Graphics-RX-57XL8MFG6/dp/B07T81CGFY

Power supply: On board with this. That said, I've never had an issue with the power supply. Is this more of a "Fix it before it inevitably breaks" or some other reason?

Case: I'm pretty sure I shouldn't have space issues with my case. There's enough room to almost fit a second motherboard of the size I have. That said, after your recommendations I still have between $60-100 I could spend on a case. The current one I have is just solid black metal. Pretty old and outdated. Would you happen to have a recommendation on a case that maybe has some windows or isn't just a blob?

Again, thank you for your input.

Ok I'm getting what your saying now. I just bought this build, literally 2 days ago. I bought it via amazon, I can always return the GPU, I can afford to pay an extra $100 for the XFX Radeon Rx 5700 8GB GDDR6 3xDP HDMI, Pci-E AMD Graphics Card (RX-57XL8MFG6) https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-GDDR6-Graphics-RX-57XL8MFG6/dp/B07T81CGFY

I'd recommend the Sapphire Pulse card, at the same price at the reference it's cooling capacity is so much more superior and it's going to be a quieter card

u/FallingAnvils · 1 pointr/buildapc

You could get an rtx 2060 such as this one or an rx 5700 such as this one. They both trade blows, but the 5700 has 8gb of vram, and the 2060s at that price have non-blower coolers and slightly lower power consumption.
