I did a rainbow themed bday party for my daughter one year! For an activity, I made a big rainbow out of tissue paper on blue poster board and had them "pin clouds in the rainbow" with cotton balls. Turned out like this. Another activity was these scratch art papers.
And for decor I made centerpieces by filling clear glass jars with gumballs and stuck pinwheels in the middle of each one. At the end, each kid got a pinwheel and as much gum as they wanted. I ordered plastic rainbow tablecloths, rainbow plates/cups/napkins from Amazon. Got lots of rainbow balloons.
And then served rainbow foods. Roygbiv fruit kababs, a rainbow shaped veggie tray, the rainbow goldfish crackers, tricolor pasta salad, etc.
