ZeroEdge 2.4- inch 135° View Angle, Full HD 1080P with G-Sensor Car Dashboard Camera Bundle with 16GB TF Card (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010GYYSU2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_1bI6xbYKAE5VX or Ausdom AD118 Dashboard Camera Recorder with FHD 1080p Resolution, WDR, 6-Glass lenses, Motion Detection, Loop-Cycle Recording https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011I4XMXS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_ubI6xb4T6RKJM would be pretty decent for the price. Are they good cams? Not compared to the 100 dollar price range, but are they good enough and high enough quality to get a good video? Damn right. A lot of these will have "loop recording", which means it will save and not write over whatever has been recorded in the last "insert minutes here", and this saves space and allows for ease. Another thing to do is to get a bigger sdcard if need be. So that would round it up to around 55 or so dollars for a 64 gig SD card, about 15 over budget. Those come with an SD card, so it isn't necassary, but not a bad idea.

> I've only been here eight years but I've seen shit that boggles my mind almost on a daily basis. I've never experienced anything like Houston and I've got quite a bit of windshield time in Philly, NYC and DC.

I moved from Europe to Houston 2 years ago. I initially wanted to drive a mustang or Camaro. But driving here is absolutely crazy and scary. (Yesterday I saw an old guy with his smartphone up in the air for a solid 5 minutes, doing 50 on the 59.) So... That sportscar never came, I drive an SUV now (with Dash cam ) for protection.

(I was very happy to find out that it is a lot better in other cities).

I am on my second one of this model:

I broke the first one myself taking it out of the car and dropping it. I can't recommend it enough. Comes with the memory card too. Software is great, picture is perfect. Had the first one a year without any issues.

This is the one I've got: ZeroEdge 2.4- inch 135° View Angle, Full HD 1080P with G-Sensor Car Dashboard Camera Bundle with 16GB TF Card (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010GYYSU2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_cRB6wbVEW7P3H

I really like it, fairly cheap, takes good quality video, and easy to use/setup.

Sorry for taking so long to get back on this, but I couldn't find anything in the footage :/

For what it's worth, I have a model similar to this and it's served me fairly well. You'll want to replace the stock power adapter though -- mine randomly breaks the connection, so I replaced it with a straight USB-plugged charger.
