I use a few of these (not specifically these): https://www.amazon.com/MAXGOODS-Tactical-Carabiner-Compatible-Activities/dp/B078HLDMBZ/

to hang stuff in my ruck

For a ridgeline, I hand-spliced 30' of 7/64" Amsteel Blue (overkill, I know) with fixed eyes on each end. I use a lightweight Metolius FS Mini carabiner to go around the first tree, and I use a Nite Ize Figure 9 Carabiner to tension the line and attach to the second tree. I then use 2x Zing-it continuous loops with klemheist knots as adjustable tarp peak attachment points. Between the tarp and each continuous loop klemheist is a size 0.5 Nite Ize S-biner.

For guy lines, I use Kelty Triptease rope cut in 12' segments with an overhand knot loop on one end. I then use 4x Nite Ize Cam Jams to grip the line. For tensioners, I currently use 4x silicone hair bands from Wal-Mart on each tarp tie-out, coupled with another Nite Ize S-biner. Here's a picture of the guy line tensioner system I'm using right now: http://i.imgur.com/tni2ZXv.jpg

I'm at the point now, though, where I think it may be time to take the dive into an all-DutchWare system to reduce bulk and weight: http://dutchwaregear.com/tarp-and-quilt-stuff/

Everything I've read about DutchWare has been positive, and it seems like it would be hard to beat purpose-built titanium hardware. It's not cheap, but I can't say I've ever seen an easier-to-use, lighter system.

I was also considering them and did some research, then i realized that i don’t have much use for this, as im mostly home, and don’t need to travel with tools. I can’t sees myself why i would need it

You can order it from here. LOL!

I checked around the inter-webs. I found Holley Knives on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_qz_back?sf=qz%2Crba&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AHolley+Knives&keywords=Holley+Knives&unfiltered=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1543264247) . They will 3-d print the scales of the knife. And they have a pink ( https://www.amazon.com/HOLLEY-Pocket-Multi-tool-MOD12B-Printed/dp/B076BR814W ) and a purple option . The only issue I have, is I can't see any reviews of their products. Main website - https://www.holleypocketknives.com/

Yeah I've had it for awhile it's super light. Here's an Amazon link to it

u/bolanrox · 1 pointr/CampingGear

I just use them for hooking my keys and other things but they are rated to 2697 pounds.

Day to day use they are solid and smooth, no dings or anything to speak of.

I am also taking the copper route and I came across the MechArmy Carabiner on Massdrop (it was cheaper than amazon at the time).

Small tip: Those "ball chains" come apart pretty easily. These braided steel keyrings are significantly more durable and can be "permanently" closed with some solder paste and some heat. Pass the cable through the car and your tag, squirt some paste inside the female end of the cable, screw together, and apply some heat to the screw ends (a regular lighter works fine) to melt the solder and seal it up. It's more costly, yes, but virtually permanent/indestructible without "extraordinary" methods.

It’s not useful. This is a terrible idea. Try this instead.

I have one of those!! SO cool and has a lot of other great uses!

It's called gravity hook. There is a certain brand that came out with it that O have, don't remember the brand though. This one looks the closest to me on Amazon though. I think I paid $20 or so for mine last year.

u/juliuschme · 1 pointr/Kendama

I'll try and get some instructions up soon! Here is the Amazon link for the clips I purchased!

u/FTamarack · 1 pointr/EDC

I bought them on Amazon. I like the flexibility and size although the screw comes undone occasionally.

$350 is a good chunk of change to spend.

As far as wallets go, I just use an old leather business card holder so I won't be much help there.

I did quite a bit of research before getting my knife—weight, size, blade type, the way it opened, etc—before landing on the Ontario Rat II. But now I want a Benchmade. And a Kershaw. And a CRKT.

As far as carabiners go, I've used all types, but am currently using—and liking—the S-biner with the bottle opener.

Once I got a pocket flashlight, I caught myself using it daily (at night). That particular pocket light has some relief cuts that make it "self-defensy".

I try to keep it simple and functional, but it's all about how you're going to use it. Hell, you could spend $300 on a knife, $20 on a light, put $10 in your pocket and call it a day.

u/thkuntze · 1 pointr/HelpMeFind

Some variant of a S-hook would probably work, or maybe wedge a metal carabiner (minus the latch) in there.
