If you can't find one pre-made for your tank size then you can go to a local glass shop and they can make you one. Shouldn't cost too much.

That's pretty much what acrylic and plexiglass costs.

How many gallons is your tank? A 20-gallon hood costs about $50 on Amazon.

i bought this for my 29 gallon tall and my plants took off right after. i would highly recommend it. make sure to get the sun light and the plant light.

40 bucks for the filter/heater/Hood.


Also make sure you get some water conditioner.

Oh and if you are doing plants you should get some fluorescent bulbs.

Alright, I'm also tempted to go with 2 of these to save money, but I'm starting to realize that they will not be able to accommodate bulbs with enough power to produce sufficient PAR.

Would these hoods and 2, 18" t5 or t8 bulbs be enough for a 55 gallon?

i dont know where you are located, but you will have to look at local fish stores, there is a glass top and a big black hood with light inside of it.

you will have to decide what fits in your budget.
