Keeping wet things separate from dry things helps. I have a variety of small Sistema containers; I would probably simply put each item into a different container. They also make a nice container with a compartment at one end for, say, hummus, and a long section for, say, carrots or sliced peppers to dip into the hummus.

This one, the Snack Attack Duo, is nice - there's space for a couple of different kinds of things.

I have this one ("Salad To Go") for salads - I am amazed at how long the salads remain fresh in it.

This is a smaller one, with two sections.

I use the Dressing Containers for salad dressing; they also make several larger sizes that would work for small amounts of fruit or nuts.

The Triple Split has more room for larger amounts, and comes with a container which can be used for yogurt, hummus, cottage cheese, or fruit like watermelon.

The Sistema stuff is well-made. I put mine in the dishwasher with care, and it has held up very well. I've had no problem with leakage, and food seems to last longer in the Sistema than in other containers. (I have no stake in the company; I just love the products!)

These work better for repacking than Nalgene jars cheaper

You can buy reusable pouches. Amazon has these: HB Reusable Food Pouch Easy Clean No Leaks For Baby Toddler Kids (8-Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012909FZY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_OKl9wbSJTCQB9

We started off with purées, and I used a steamer and my kitchenaid blender to make them. I would use some of the water in the bottom to blend with the fruit or vegetable to make them thinner and still get some of the nutrients/flavor of the actual fruit or veggie instead of watering it down. I started off making one batch at a time, since I would give her the same thing for 4 days to make sure she had no allergic reactions. I would keep enough out in the fridge to last a few days and then I'd put the rest in a silicone freezer tray. Started off with 1oz cubes and moved up to 2oz cubes. I started off with these though it seems they jacked the price up at the moment. There are a ton of diff ones on Amazon though. I was going to buy a special baby food maker machine, but for the cost I decided to just buy a $50 steamer pot at target and use my blender at first. It worked so well, and wasn't any inconvenience to me so I just stuck with that. I just recently bought some pouches, but haven't tried them yet! After I had a solid amount of things and she had no reactions, I started to make a bunch big batches in a day and freeze them up so I always had a stock pile.

We loved blw for our first and will definitely do it with our second. Can't wait until she's 6 months!

We loved doing breast milk pops before 6 months with these

And used these for purees when she was little, and still use them two years later for yogurt or applesauce. One of our all time favorite kid things. Squooshi Reusable Food Pouch - Large - 4.5 oz - 8 ct https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JRYQEDC/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_9CQ6wb1FMT05K

This is what we use in Canada. Make our own yogurt in the InstantPot too!

I've actually recently switched to testing these although without the cute cartoons lol. I found a refillable foil pouch that has a strong cap and can take a dropper top for filling unicorns. One time use kinda thing.

But it still sucks balls.

You can make little "snack kits" of nuts, cheese cubes, lunch meat cubes, or dried fruit.
Oscar Meyer makes them, and when they go on sale at the grocery store I buy them pre-made, and then in between I make my own.

You could make your own with a similar container to this:

Or purchase these if the price works for you or they go on sale:

My babe LOVES purees and yogurt out of a pouch. He will eat more, it is faster, and cleaner.

I have these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NVXSBRD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&th=1

We also use these so bub can hold it easier, and without squeezing it everywhere: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HGPWS2J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you!

These are GoodCook + Meal Prep On Fleek 2 compartment containers. The big side is 2 cups and the small side is 1 cup. They don't appear to be leak proof, but I don't need them to be. They stack nicely and are intended for freezing and microwaving. I'm not afraid of plastic, though.

I got them at Fry's (Kroger) for $4.99 for a 10 pack. They were $3.99 last time I was there, so they might be on their way out

Edit: Amazon link for the product

I use this but you could also use ice cube trays.

Thanks for the recipe link! When I was a nanny, the family used silicon ice cube trays and would freeze baby food that way. The size was good, but I figured since I had twins I could opt for something a little bigger. They’re not jars. They’re small plastic containers with flip lids. They came in a pack of 50, and had good reviews on amazon. They’re not meant to last forever, but I liked that there were a lot and I liked the size. Here’s the link

OP, you’re not wrong to be mad that your GF isn’t being a good guest (so I guess NTA), but I want to make it clear this falls on your GF since a 2 year old truly cannot be blamed for their actions. It’s up to the parent to ensure their kid behaves, and also helps them learn to be tidy which for a 2 year old mostly means making sure to tidy up after them. However, it’s possible there’s an easy solution to the easily tipped over snack bowl? Maybe giving her those squeezy fruit/yogurt things as a snack (can’t be tipped over) or a spill-proof snack bowl such as this one: https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Snack-Catcher-Piece-Purple/dp/B07NFZBSY2 2/$4.37 on Amazon. Obviously kids can be jerks unless taught not to be, so I hope that if you value your relationship, that the solution to a crumb-free home is easily within reach. Best of luck!
