Just bought him a copy of WWE: Macho Madness on DVD and Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison on CD. Included the note:
Your nephew Sean told me you love Macho Man Randy Savage and Johnny Cash, so I got you some of their best stuff! Hope you like it!
Your (new) friend, Nick
Should be there in 3-5 days. Tried to send it faster but to no avail. Thanks for sharing this opportunity to do something nice for someone!
The music attorney in me is very curious as to whether you realize that obtaining music via

so that you

to an album
>without buying it,
absent the rights holder's consent, is the same as stealing the album, and is most likely against the law to some degree, regardless of whichever country you are located in. Sorry, but I'm not going to help you accomplish that one. But hey, thanks for the job security!
That said, the Taylor Swift fan in me has a few additional responses to offer you:
LP 1: Self-Titled;
LP 2: Fearless;
LP 3: Speak Now;
LP 4: Red
Hope that helps and hope you have a fantastic week! :)
If you actually liked this, pick up Straight to Hell by Hank Williams III.
He's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll and a little bit crazy
is this really a deal?
https://www.amazon.com/Yankee-Hotel-Foxtrot-Vinyl-Wilco/dp/B000063TE5 has it for $21
Uncle Tupelo. You might start with their anthology 89/93.
Someone already mentioned Townes Van Zandt. I'd start with his live record Live at the Old Quarter.
You might also enjoy Guy Clark. You can get his first two CDs for one price here.
JD Crowe and the New South - Rounder 0044 also called the Brown Album
Hot Rize - So Long of a Journey
Here Today - Self Titled
Muleskinner - A Potpourri of Bluegrass
The Steeldrivers - self titled
Seldom Scene - Act One
Blue Highway - Marbletown
Larry Sparks - Classic Bluegrass
Dan Tyminski - Wheels
Lonesome River Band - Old Country Town
Country Gazette - Hello Operator
Chril Thile and Micheal Daves - Sleep With One Eye Open
Okay, I tried to keep it to ten, but I can't. I also kept it to albums and not compilations or collections.
If that was the case... I would add these two
25 Years of Rounder
Flatt and Scruggs - The Complete Mercury Sessions
And there's SO many albums I missed.

|name|Hank Williams III|
|about artist|Shelton Hank Williams (born December 12, 1972 in Nashville Tennesee) is an American musician. He is sometimes credited as Hank III or Hank 3. The grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Williams Jr., he spent much of his early years playing drums in metal and punk rock bands. In 1996, child support payments led Hank III to sign a contract with Music City giant Curb. Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts was issued shortly thereafter, which brought the voices of all three generations of Williams men together. The Grider cut is one of my favorites on it, but do yourself a big, BIG favor and buy that whole album as opposed to that one song. It is absolutely excellent, with only a couple of songs I didn't like as much as the rest, on track to be one of my two favorite music purchases of this year (it actually came out in 2009, though). I actually bought it for Cody Canada's cover of "Shades of Gray" and was floored at how good the rest of it was. Considering that the list of artists on it was pretty much a who's who of Texas & Red Dirt music, though, I shouldn't have been surprised.

Theres an album that is a tribute to Robert Earl Keen, almost all of the songs are like these by some of the best artists out there.http://www.amazon.com/Undone-A-Musicfest-Tribute-Robert/dp/B001L5F1UC
This one? http://www.amazon.com/Alison-Krauss-Union-Station-Live/dp/B00006LLLN
No, but there's a great version on the Alison Krauss + Union Station Live album. Here's a similar (if not the same) version.
http://www.amazon.com/Jacksonville-City-Nights-Vinyl-Adams/dp/B000AOFB7S Up for about $24 on Amazon.
Closest thing you'll find to Dylan is Woody Guthrie. And even that's not entirely accurate. I'd recommend this album. Bob is in a class by himself.
However, if you're feeling that "great songwriter who can't sing a lick" vibe, I'd second the recommendations of Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, and Townes Van Zant. (I think all those albums are on Spotify, BTW.)

The concept reminds me of Exile's Radio, but with a nice tweak for 11/11.
the album "radio" by exile.

Grown Up (a Revisionist History) by The Chapmans. Mostly traditional bluegrass song structure and instrumentation with unbelievably clean production and performances, and the best melodic solos I've ever heard.
For every Okie From Muskogee and God Bless the USA there is a First Mrs. Jones from Porter Wagoner... in fact, check out that entire album The Cold Hard Facts of Life... or how about Willie Nelson's concept album Red Headed Stranger (amazon link) which is at the very least more interesting than that crappy Merle Haggard tune.
Even if you want to go main-stream there are many examples of interesting lyrics about (death, destruction, drugs, more death etc... You can't just pick out one silly tune and make so many presumptions about the whole genre. It's kind of bigger than that, and more encompassing.
