The tray I used is Magnolia Home from Target. I can’t seem to find a link but found a couple similar ish options. The bottles are Tommee Tippee from Amazon.

There are a couple interesting options when it comes to whiteboards.

There's adhesive backed rolls available. The biggest problem is getting a quality surface to put it on. The hardboard surface discussed below would be a great mounting surface.^1

If you're nostalgic for chalk boards they're available as peel and stick too. ^2 Scraping your fingernails across them doesn't sound like death cry on slate boards. Again, finding a good surface to put it on can be an issue.

4'x8' (32 square feet!!) hardboard sheets are cheap ($13) but not professional quality.^3 It's great for giving the kids a wall to write on!!

One of my groups runs into this problem often, especially if we take a break from a specific game and when we come back some of the players keep forgetting I (for example) am playing a woman and say, "well when he does that I..."

Unfortunately we haven't found a good solution other than quickly correcting people and moving on until we get used to it. More recently, one player has started making plaques to put in front of us, first with our character names then with art (by searching for close-enough pictures). I think these are the nameplates he used, with liquid chalk pens. This can help remembering character names (and therefore genders), but it's also dependent on visibility, and with 5-6 people crowding around a dining table with stuff in the middle, visibility isn't great. If you have more space or a clearer table, though, it could probably work - and you could add Mr/Ms/Mx, or just He/She/They, to each nameplate if you need it to be more clear.

These are the markers I use, and the paper is

That being said, I found both at a flea market for significantly less than the Amazon Prices, which are reasonable. Look at an Arts and Crafts store and you will probably find something similar for cheap.

So I looked into this, and I was going to just lay some chalkboard contact paper on the glass and voila!

For what it's worth, here's what works for me:

I covered my fridge in the self adhesive chalkboard stuff (this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000KKMO90/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_6?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 ). I write whatever random notes on it, everything from phone calls to make, bills to pay to grocery lists. Everyday (really, every time I leave the house), I take a picture of it on my phone. That way, I have a single 'hub' for everything. If I'm not at home when I complete something, it send myself a text message with whatever relevant details.

At the end of the day I go through and erase/adjust everything.

It seems to be working for me (better than writing everything down on my arm at least).

Good luck and I'm sorry you lost your job. I hope you make it through this tough time with flying colors (and a new organization system that works for you!)

> That's a beautiful setup man, very clean and organized. Where did you purchase those chalk boards? I would love to have one on my wall as well.

These are adhesive chalkboard sheets. You can buy for about 10 $ on amazon. And you can draw it with common coloured chalks. Absolutely customisable. You can also cut the sheets for your need.

I would, just for simplicity's sake. Card stock and a nice font is totally fine, you could print them somewhere like Staples for less than $5 for sure if you only have six cards. If you wanted, you could buy something like these mini chalkboard stands and keep them to use for other entertaining purposes, or just sell them on a wedding buy/sell group.

I used this in my old apartment on the closet doors. Peeled right off when we moved.

Thanks for the contest!

This PR class is nuts.

The best class I've ever been a part of was learning Arabic. The teacher was from Tunisia and a really cool guy. He encouraged outside learning, gave us fantastic resources outside of class, and was just an amazing teacher.

The students were all involved, tried their hardest, and even on quiz days the mood was upbeat. Plus the subject matter was amazing; we learned culture and language.

Everything that happened in the class was exactly what you would want in a class. It's hard to really explain. It was just perfect.

This would be awesome on my daughter's wall in her new room.

Well This does exist.

Or you could totally buy one.

u/anitxtina · 2 pointsr/RandomActsofMakeup

You should get one! This is the one I have. LOVE IT! It's small enough that it doesn't get in the way, but big enough to write several words on it. And it comes with everything you need to hang it up as well. :)

We recently switched from a dry erase whiteboard to a magnetic chalkboard. I glued small magnets to the back of the figs, they're no longer on amazon but these are similar:

https://www.amazon.com/Multi-Use-Refrigerator-Magnets-Science-Crafts/dp/B01LXC181Q/

Here is where I got the chalkboard: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LLSEH4/

And here is where I got the signs. I just broke the easel part off. It was important that the signs be reusable for chalk markers which is why I went with these. Lots of similar ones will have problems with chalk markers, so its important to read the reviews.

Great contest!

Something that really brightened my day a few months ago was a sweet little text from my mom. Something along the lines of "don't tell your sisters, but you're the smartest daughter I have!" (I don't have any sisters).

It was right in the middle of a stressful misterm session, and it was the perfect amount of goofiness - I don't know how she worked out the perfect timing.

Anyways, here's a little something I have my eye on! Thanks again for the sweet contest!

My roommate and I plan on lofting our beds, but the handbook says we must submit a maintenance request. Are we supposed to do that on move in date?

Also, can I put a whiteboard sticker on my wall? The handbook didn't say anything about it.

I got a roll of this chalkboard contact paper and stuck it to a 2x4 foot plywood sheet I got at Home Depot for $5. Hung it up with a bunch of Command strips.

It works... ok. The biggest problems are that the board is pretty flexible and the strips hold it a few mm from the wall, so it can flex a bit when I'm writing on it; and the paper wasn't wide enough to cover the board with one strip, so I had to cut several, and there's a bit of a ridge where they overlap.
