I CAN BE SO USEFUL TODAY!!!

The Libre Tea Mug has the exact same design as the mug you describe, but has glass on the inside, and plastic on the outside. Here's a video. There's a 10 oz version and a 14 oz version, and a 9.5 oz handled version.

However, I bought one of these and decided it's not the best thing in the universe. There were plenty of good things about it, but it had some flaws:

  1. It won't keep drinks hot for very long, because plastic & glass apparently don't keep things as warm as stainless steel (not sure if this is totally accurate), but you also have to remove the lid every time you drink, and it's all the way open, as opposed to a sippy lid or other designs that have small holes or whatever, and lots of heat escapes. It also means that you get a face full of steam every time you try to drink.

  2. When brewing black tea, you stick the leaves in between the two top lids (see video) and brew upside down. However, when you turn it upside down, the surface tension of the water actually retains the ENTIRE volume of water that was in the lid. Seriously. I don't know what the deal is. This happens even with zero tea leaves. This means that when you remove the two lids to drink (you need to remove both lids simultaneously if it's black tea, since the leaves are between the two lids), there's still lots of boiling hot water in the lid, and if you tap it, or bump it, or angle it, all that water falls out. You really have to tap the lid to dump this excess water before you drink; if you don't, you run the risk of spilling lots of hot water all over yourself. Someday you'll forget, and probably burn yourself.

    Aesthetic problems:

  3. You can hear the plastic creaking against the glass, and it makes it seem cheap. Purely psychological, but it probably could be fixed.

  4. The larger size and the handled mug version have the company's website printed address on the side of the lid. Pretty ugly in my opinion.

  5. The lid has a picture, but it's a physical object (a tiny carving or something) and it actually moves. It's somehow not secured in place, and it moves off center and looks awkward and cheap. Plus, I can see a couple parts of it bent the wrong way.

I can't really recommend it, but if you've used the Activitea and found it usable, you might be happy with the Libre. The design looks pretty much the same from the photos, as far as I can tell. But I have continued searching for the perfect tea mug.

    Contenders thus far:

  6. JoeMoXL: Entirely stainless steel, with a removable infuser basket, a push-button seal, 360 degree drinking, sipping that doesn't require removing the entire lid and draining heat away, leak proof, etc etc. Good stuff.

  7. Timolino infuser mug: Theoretically similar to the JoeMoXL, but no push-button seal, and the infuser basket has some plastic. Oh well though. Adds a hidden compartment in the very top lid where you can store sugar. Smaller than most travel mugs (12 oz instead of the usual 16), so I think it's more practical to fill up, drink, then fill again and get a 2nd steeping out of the tea, as opposed to 16 oz over the course of the day and then getting home or whatever and not making use of the leaves until the next day maybe. There's also a carabiner version. Note that Timolino makes 2 tea mugs; this one, plus another that is ONLY good for green tea, with the leaves steeping inside the main chamber, with no removable infuser basket.

I've been shopping around for quite some time. These are the two winners as far as I am concerned, though they skip out on being see-through and hiding the tea in the lid, but I can't see any well-designed options out there with those traits (although this Thermos mug has the infuser in the lid, but I wasn't so excited about it), so I'm giving my seal of approval to these. There are other contenders I think, but these are equal or better compared to anything I can find. I might also just go with a Contigo and brew in a teapot and just deal with the fact that the mug has no internal tea infuser.

    OCD FTW!

That's a good idea, but I'd go more for the insulated mug with a drip-proof lid, like this

https://www.amazon.com/Jura-Tumbler-Double-Stainless-Installation/dp/B07MJR3P1H/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=insulated+mug+with+lid&qid=1564872387&s=home-garden&sr=1-18

That'd be far more handy for the bus-ride to campus, drinking in class, drinking in the computer lab, etc.

This has been mentioned somewhere on beyondthebump before, but invest in a Contigo travel mug! It keeps your coffee hot for (no joke) 6-8 hours. Plus, the lid locks so you can't spill it on your LO and you can throw it in your diaper bag or even tip it upside down and it wont leak.

I swear on my life I will never buy another coffee mug in my life. Here's a link on Amazon. Only $15!

What you need is this plus this. (Car-powered water heater and a French Press coffee mug.)

Carry a 5 gallon jug of water and a can of ground coffee around with you and you'd never be without morning coffee again.

Seconding the contingo! I have this contingo thermos and it's amazing! I've had it over 2 years now and it hasn't ever leaked, the auto seal is great, it holds a good amount of drink and doesn't condense or appear wet!

OnePlus Two with a tempered glass screen protector

Car keys

And contents of my backpack:

Jaybird X2 great for biking but not so great for using for 8 hours in an office

Bose QC35 great for using for 8 hours in an office but not so great for biking

Primula cold brew bottle pictured here brewing tomorrow's coffee

Rhodia Dotpad

KMASHI 15,000 mAh powerbank with USBC and micro cables

Disposable Earplugs that I keep a pair of everywhere since they come in a pack of 20

Knockoff Aviator Sunglasses that I bought in high school for $10 and somehow still haven't broken

The best two, in my experience, which you have to seriously abuse to break :

  • Contigo (Also available in a two pack at Costco for a better price, I may have also seen them a London Drugs.)

  • Zojirushi (Also available at T&T for around the same price.)

    .

I love my Zojirushi most of all. Put boiling water in it, burn yourself 3 hours later when you open it. It's insanity.
u/higher_moments · 6 pointsr/Portland

Well, to be fair, it sounds like the basis for the complaints ultimately traces back to the fact that DrinkTanks is suing Growlerworks/uKeg for patent infringement, over a patent that probably shouldn't have been granted in the first place.

Of course, anybody sued for patent infringement is going to argue that the patent being enforced is invalid, but I think they've got a case here. Basically, if you can point to any container invented prior to a couple years ago that meets either the following sets of limitations, the patent (as issued) is invalid:

> A beverage storage system comprising:
> a container body comprising a vacuum sealed metal vessel having a rim which has a non-planar surface;
> a lid having a threaded portion and a gas inlet valve; and
> an annular elastomeric seal interposed between a bottom surface of the lid and the rim and configured to seal against the non-planar surface of the rim.

or

> A beverage storage system comprising:
> a container body comprising a vacuum sealed metal vessel having a rim which has a non-planar surface;
> a lid having a gas inlet valve; and
> an annular elastomeric seal disposed in an annular channel in the bottom surface of the lid and configured to seal against the non-planar surface of the rim;
> wherein the container body includes a generally cylindrical neck region and the channel includes a sidewall configured to abut an outer surface of the neck region.

So basically, they've managed to patent any metal vacuum-insulated beverage container that has a lid (with a threaded portion anywhere on it) that creates a watertight seal against a curved rim using an elastomeric gasket, where the lid has a gas inlet valve. Here's an example of such a container (depending on how you define "gas inlet valve.") I bet you could find a soda siphon that fits the bill, too.

Like many of my brothers in this sub, I'm always thirsty and always want water. In particular, I want it ice cold and in massive quantities. A while ago, I got this refillable 100z "cup":

Pic with pint glass for size comparison

I lived near a gas station with really well filtered water that let me fill it up for free, so I was set. Unfortunately, after moving, all the places near me want like $1 for an ice water refill in that thing. Fuck that. Here's an overview of all the components needed.

Pitcher - I use this Brita pitcher. In the past I used the bigger one here, but it honestly sucks to fill up because it's heavy and unwieldy, whereas the pitcher form factor is really easy to just refill right after you use. It also pours quite a bit slower. Apparently my new place does some filtration of water before it comes out of the sink, so I might switch to this guy for instant filtration. Also make sure to change that damn filter often enough. Having charcoal leech into everything when it breaks down from too much use won't hurt you but it definitely looks bad and takes some time to clean out.

Giant Cup - Valero Corner Stores sell this, though the 64oz and 52oz variants are more common. Plenty of other gas stations sell identical 100oz cups with their branding, but you just have to find one. If you don't mind paying the pretty steep cost (~$20) some people sell them on Amazon, like this one. I really really wish Yeti or some other company made a 100oz cup made for drinking that insulates as well as theirs do, but I haven't found one.

Reusable Straw - The big cup comes with a plastic reusable straw which you can see in the pictures of the one I linked to, but I don't like it. The ridged structure that makes it easily bendable also causes drag on the water and makes it harder to drink. So what I use are these. They are just the right size. They get a bit off smelling after a while (a month or two), and there's a brush included to clean them, but I can never really get them cleaned well, so I honestly just toss them and use another. It's $8 for 5, so you're looking at maybe $15 or so a year in straw costs. I had also looked at some of those reusable metal straws but then I realized how bad it would suck to pick up the cup too quickly and bash my teeth out with the inertia of a full 100oz cup.

Ice - Here's the the tricky one. This is basically why I filled it up at the gas station in the past. I'm really picky about ice and will only use clear "restaurant quality" ice. The kind of ice made in most freezer ice makers is cloudy because of air bubbles in the water, meaning that it also picks up any off smells in the freezer, melts far too quickly, is weirdly soft, etc. If you do it right, you can get pretty clear ice from ice trays, but if you're doing that for a cup that big, it's gonna take a lot of time. Here is a pic of the ice maker I bought to solve this problem (I bought it here). It does a really good job making clear, good tasting ice. I fill it up with a full load of water from the pitcher and usually within 90-120 minutes, it's full of clear square ice. Here is a pic of some extra ice I stash in the freezer from it. I'll edit this with a pic of some fresh super clear ice in a bit, I don't have any on hand right now. Overall, I like the ice machine, though I will say that it costs quite a bit to run (it runs at around 150W, spiking to 190W) and should be wiped down every week or two. It might just be easier to grab some of the 10 or 20lb bags of ice from the gas station or grocery story and use that. It is nice to be able to make it on demand though.

Every morning I get up and fill the ice maker up to the top, sip on the leftover water from last night while I wait for the new ice, and then refill when I'm done. I usually drink two cupfulls of water a day.

But what if I want my water to get me drunk?

The best part about water is that it makes the best mixed drink for sipping at home. Just carbonate it and mix it with a spirit. The Japanese highball is the height of such mixed drinks, but I've found that some experimentation yielded a variety of great options. I usually do around 5:1 water to spirit, but usually I eyeball the spirit pour and just full up the glass.

How to make it at home? Sodastream of course! Here is a picture of my Sodastream bottle, a very fancy eau-de-vie, and the resulting beverage. Here are my top picks for spirits to mix with your delicious spicy water:

  • Plantation Stiggins Pineapple Rum - This is distilled with pineapple to give it some good pineapple flavor, but it's not too sugary. It's 20g/L of sugar, meaning that a drink made with 3oz of it has under 2g of sugar, making it a great option for ketohomies who miss fruity cocktails.
  • Dingle Gin - Any decent gin will do, The Botanist is another great option. Mixing it with the water brings out the gentler botanical and herbal notes and makes for a refreshing drink.
  • Lustau Solera Gran Reserva Brandy - This can be tricky to find, but if you can, try it. There's a $35 Gran Reserva and a $25 Reserva. The Gran Reserva's a bit better, but both are good. It ends up tasting like delicious sherry soda. Subtle nutty, chocolate, and maple syrup notes, but not sweet at all.
  • Any bourbon - Japanese whiskey is good but my dirty secret is that I'll take a good bourbon highball any day. Weller OWA 107 is a great option that goes really well with the sparkling water, though it's next to impossible to find. Something with high value like McKenna Bottled in Bond, Wild Turkey 101, or Old Grand Dad 114 will do the trick.
  • Green Chartreuse - I was amazed this works, but it does. Really REALLY herbal, so if that's your thing, go for it.

There are tons of other great options and plenty of bad ones (funky rum like Rumfire or Wray & Nephew, mezcal, peaty scotch, etc. are things I love that don't work)

Hope this inspires people to drink more fuckin water.

Sometimes they're called HotJo's. My current mug, and my absolute favorite of all time this thing has never spilled once.

these are pretty good as well, but they're not my thing.

u/Antares16M26 · 5 pointsr/Coffee

[The Bubba] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186EP0JW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) is what i use and its great. It has a ceramic coating on the inside and its great at keeping heat in.

Edit: The Zojirushi is the dankest of the dank at keeping coffee hot for the longest and has a lock on the cap so you can keep it in a bag and not worry on it spilling.

u/poeticrubbish · 4 pointsr/tea

This mug holds heat very well (up to 5 hours) and has an infuser attachment. There is a lock feature that can definitely withstand throwing into a bag, and a button to push when you would like to take a drink (which is how it retains its heat).
It looks like it might be cheaper if you buy them separately, so here you go!

u/Ecopilot · 4 pointsr/Coffee

If you want to upgrade your to-go coffee rig I highly recommend this mug: https://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-SM-YAE48XA-Travel-Stainless-Steel/dp/B01077GFV8/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1517875839&sr=8-9&keywords=zojirushi+mug

I also own hydroflasks and this is far and away a superior product. It also accepts pour overs and aeropresses directly.

I have an electric moka pot and frothing wand at work for milk drinks and a V60 for pour over (office electric kettle). Aeropress would be a fine middle ground between these two. I use a Porlex hand grinder and it gets the job done well enough.

u/[deleted] · 4 pointsr/tea

I drink a ton of tea and I did a lot of research before getting The Joemo XL. Keeps the drink warm for hours, extremely leak proof, and has 360 drinkability :) It is a little more expensive than some, but it's definitely worth it. The plastic ones always seem to leave the tea tasting funny after a while IMO, and this one is completely stainless steel.

Contigo travel mugs are the best I've ever used. They're metal with a plastic lid that has a nifty auto-seal feature so its spill proof.

It's probably not bifl as it's made out of plastic.

I think you're going to have a hard time finding a truly bifl travel mug that isn't metal. I've seen ceramic options but I don't know how well the lids seal and they never look like they could take any abuse at all.

u/funkinatrix · 3 pointsr/tea

You almost need two different cups for matcha and herbal, but something like this works great for herbal.

u/ElectronHick · 3 pointsr/BuyItForLife

Love these cups.

Ruined one too many mornings by Spilling one too many travel mugs on the floor of my truck.

These put an end to that! Thanks contigo.

Edit:Amazon.uk 2-Pack

You can probably find them locally, they are sold at Costco if you have one nearby or know someone with a membership.

They aren’t cheap but they are seriously the best cup you can get IMO. I have a total of 6-7 of them, i pick em up when they are cheap or on sale, get some as gifts because I honestly preach about these mugs all the time.

I've had bad experiences with plastic mugs in the past. I got one and let it soak in soapy water overnight. The next morning I washed out all the soap and poured myself some coffee. I spit the first sip out because the mug absorbed so much of the soap flavor.

If you're looking for other options, I'd recommend this double walled ceramic mug. I got mine at Whole Foods so the Amazon one might be different. It isn't the best at retaining heat and it's only 12 oz but it's solid and doesn't have any off flavors.
Alternatively, this double walled glass mug. It retains heat well but the silicone top is kind of like a sippy cup. It's also 14 oz.

u/FlightyPenguin · 2 pointsr/thecatdimension

The stainless one here I think is dishwasher safe (not the blue one, for sure). Both lids are safe. The third picture shows you how it opens right up for better dishwasher water jet access.

There are numerous approaches, some requiring special gear. I got into it with stuff I already had in the kitcken:

  • Mason jar
  • Plastic funnel
  • Paper filters (meant for a drip percolator)

Just chuck a few dessert spoons of ground coffee into jar, fill with water and stir well, then leave it overnight (in fridge or on bench). The next day, use the funnel & filter to filter it into another jar. Job done.

Coffee amount & brew time can be tweaked to preference. Start with one dessert spoon of coffee per cup of water, brewed for ten hours, and experiment from there. You can do what you like with the end result - drink as-is, or add heat / milk / sugar.

I also bought a Primula Cold Brew Travel Bottle to try out. It's more portable, and no messing around with filter papers & funnels. It's taken a bit longer to nail down the process for a good result though. The mason jar is still my main method.

If you have a disposable Starbucks type cup w/plastic lid that has a hole in it or a soda w/a flimsy lid from a fast food joint, yeah, he's going to nail you every time. Whether you think it's legitimate or not, the concern is over spills on equipment. Even some of the ECS rooms with no computers have had ant problems in the past because students spill their sugary drinks and it attract drones of ants. Plus, too many people don't clean up after themselves. You sound responsible (using a paper towel to prevent condensation getting on the tables or wiping it up is a good thing), but you've gotta remember not everyone else is. The responsible folks pay for those who aren't and the school isn't exactly bursting at the seams with money to take on the additional maintenance costs or the cost of replacing damaged computers, etc.

I empathize with your situation, but there are ways around the rule. Get a reusable cup that you can completely seal with a cap or airtight lid. Hydroflasks work wonders as well. He won't bitch at you if you have one of those types of cups. Just make sure you keep it sealed in between sips.

Without knowing what gear your dad has or needs - it's going to be a crap shoot getting a winning gift.

There are items that we all like, but your dad may already have one he likes more.

Regardless... here are a few basic ideas from Amazon (hopefully available in the Canadian version too):

u/cngfan · 2 pointsr/Coffee

I travel with one of these. I also travel with an Immersion heater and trusty thermometer as well as hand grinder, (not sure of the model, I've had it quite a while.)

It's not collapsible but I've seen travel mugs with built in French press. Like this: http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Insulated-Plastic-0-45-Liter-15-Ounce/dp/B008LWVI6E

Personally, making my own coffee while traveling does not sound appealing. I'd rather go to random coffee shops and buy there. It's fun to try new coffee at new places.

MRW thinking about Tim Horton's and Dunkin.

Edit: I have a nifty mug that makes me great coffee every day.

Like this one? I was looking at before and thought it was perfect except for the lid situation but now that I know that I can change out the lid I might make this one my playa cup.

I have a Primula cold brew bottle that I got from Amazon. Actually, I've gone through two myself (damn you girl who knocked my glass cold brew bottle off my desk at the start of my morning class, you made me suffer from lack of caffeine), plus have given two away as gifts because I love it that much. It's stupidly simple to use. I always use a dark roast bean when I do cold brew. Be warned, this caffeinates the shit out of your coffee.

Edit: here's the link for the bottle I use for $18 on Amazon

Name: Ember Temperature Control Mug
Link: https://www.amazon.com/Ember-Temperature-Control-Mug/dp/B01N2HT77T/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1510551673&sr=8-1&keywords=ember&linkCode=sl1&tag=bonafidehardware-20&linkId=74d4cf60e1688bd0a4e5985116a7c846

It can be connected to an app on your smartphone to remotely adjust temperature and also create presets

It comes with a holder that charges the mug from the bottom with two pins.

I'm another big fan of Contigo mugs. I have several dedicated to tea only and I use their infusers in morning where I'm in a big rush.

I was serious about the tea infuser.

They're life changing.

(And now you have all the fun of selling your E&Es on amazon :D)

For coffee, I know bodum makes travel french presses. https://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Insulated-Plastic-0-45-Liter-15-Ounce/dp/B008LWVI6E
I have had one for years, because the office has keurig which is just gross.

You might want to consider getting one, and just packing extra beans (grind them in the morning - ok it's not the exact same as grinding them just a few seconds before but it's better than starbucks) and just pour hot water in and wait for it to brew. You will probably save $2-4 this way.

I'm talking about the 14 oz Rambler
https://www.amazon.com/YETI-Rambler-Stainless-Vacuum-Insulated/dp/B0773SN3GX

It just doesn't work as great as the 30 oz Rambler or any other generic 30 oz equivalent

u/thatarchguy · 1 pointr/onebag

I've had success with a Tea Stick while travelling. You can also use a 12oz French Press for tea in a pinch. The hardest part is TSA flagging your tea when they check your bags. Gunpowder green tea makes them freak.

This All-in-one Travel Tea Mug looks promising.

It's a Bubba brand thermos. Says "HR-1" on the bottom. I can't find a link, sorry. As I'd said, the liner is steel but it's coated in ceramic so that liquids don't pick up any metallic taste.

Wait... found it:

Hey guys. I just recently discovered this thread and thought I'd post my question instead of starting a new thread.

I recently ordered this and this. I am looking to wean myself off of coffee and have always enjoyed tea. I mostly drink green tea hence the amazon order. Does anyone have any recommendations on other/better brands?

I'm also looking to get either this addition to my Contigo mugs or just another mug for tea.

u/hewasajumperboy · 1 pointr/portlandstate

that is completely lame! Usually they're completely chill about getting something cooked for me late at night. I haven't been to PSU at 7am in about 3 years except for the odd all nighter in lab.

Like a counter top french press? I was talking about a french press travel mug (the link is for reference, i know most students don't have $140 to drop on coffee). I was partial to brewing in my dorm when I was on campus and I wish the Aeropress existed when I was still on campus.

After farpoint, he was a fan of last season and I stopped watching when they started 900 years ago before the show premiered I am almost certain. They aren’t the kind of people that are similar to the mugs used in Quark's: https://www.amazon.com/Hotjo-Travel-Mug-oz-Black/dp/B0769SVJX2.

u/heree_kitteh_kitteh · 1 pointr/Coffee

maybe look for something like this? Not sure if the plastic in the lid would be bothersome though.

edit: Looks like this has a glass lid as well as glass body

I would suggest this:
http://www.amazon.com/Highwave-JOEmoXL-Stainless-Steel-Travel/dp/B00115WFX8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377879603&sr=8-1&keywords=joemo+xl

I have one and it works great in 2 ways: 1. put tea into the cup and replace filter for drink-and-steep; 2. put tea into infuser basket for steep-and-drink.

I don't actually use the infuser though, because I use a stainless steel over-the-cup type; which is much sturdier; one that looks like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Frieling-Medium-Infuser-3-5-inch-Stainless/dp/B003O6A3AY/ref=sr_1_5?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1377879909&sr=1-5&keywords=stainless+steel+tea+infuser

I hope you'll be okay at your new job. At least I think you will. Two of my friends were managers of two different hotels and they both enjoyed it, the pay also wasn't bad. If you ever need someone to vent to feel free to PM me.

I found a couple of things you might like for your new job. Here's some DS games (Im assuming you have one because I saw them on your wish list) super Mario brothers 2 , art academy , the Nintendo essentials pack , and a wall adapter. If you don't want any of those you'll probably need one of these and for lunch one of these.

If I win then this please

One bottle of ice water and one bottle of Diet Cherry Pepsi, kept in these. The bottles keep them cold for hours, sometimes for more than a day.

u/toxicity69 · 1 pointr/Coffee

This Bubba mug allows my coffee to cool a bit more quickly than the full stainless steel Thermos that I've used in the past. It also has the benefit of being ceramic-lined on the inside, so if you're averse to having your coffee making contact with stainless steel due to flavor changes, then that's another plus. It's also 100% leak-proof when the lid is closed. The only thing I'd be wary of is that it's a bit wider than some other mugs, so it may have an issue fitting in some car cupholders; just take a measurement ahead of time to know if it'd be a problem, though.

u/scptty · 1 pointr/Coffee

If you're just looking for a caffeine fix, why not just take caffeine and skip the coffee altogether? I did and it saved me a ton of money while in school. I bought pure caffeine powder online and filled v-caps. Now that I'm out of school, I don't do this anymore. I enjoy coffee for the sake of coffee, not just for the fix. But like I said, if money is an issue and caffeine is really what you're after, do what I did. It worked out to literally less than 2 cents per 100mg dose (equiv to 1 cup of coffee), with most of that going to the blank gelcaps.

A kilo of caffeine anhydrous powder costs about thirty buck. This is equivalent to about 10,000 cups of coffee. 1000 gelcaps will cost you a ten bucks.

Anyway, just don't be stupid and take more than you should, and be precise in your dosages.

But if you want to forego that idea, I suggest you buy a nice $30 double-walled vacuum thermos enough for a days worth of coffee (16 or 20oz). Make the coffee in the morning and off you go. Not that hard of a problem to solve, bro. I love my Contigo Randolph with auto-seal latch on the button. I hang it from my back pocket and so I've always got a swig of coffee no matter where I am.

u/I_Submit_This · 1 pointr/mflb

i have a nice, glass 8 cup, but the one i use most is this one. i like to make a fresh cup, instead of letting 7 cups sit around, since it takes me awhile to drink the 16 ounces this one makes, and usually it's just me for most of the day.

u/Aloof_pooch · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

You could go with something like this or just a pot that is not a mug. You can buy some beans in the store and grind them there. Then you don't have to commit to a full bag unless you really like it.

u/Shepards_Conscience · 1 pointr/Coffee

I'm in love with this Contigo mug. They are the "press to sip" style but nothing I've found keeps coffee hotter for longer. I've been using the 24oz model for a long time. I take 2-3 hours to drink 24oz of coffee and it's still hot when I get to the bottom. I like them from a design perspective, too. They have a handle model, too.

If you want a good cup of coffee on the go, I recommend a french press plus a travel mug or a travel french press.
