Sometimes family members, if there is a need or lack of money.

There's a really good book series about a woman who runs a niche cleaning company and cleans up crime scenes. It's called the Ghost Dusters mysteries. She's sees ghosts, too, but I don't think that's a requirement for cleaning up crime scenes.

Have you ever read Terri Reid? I really really love this series!! Paranormal/Romance. Ann Charles' Deadwood series is REALLY good, too!!

Plant flowers. All the kids can dig a small hole and put a flower in or seeds and if you can't plant in the ground you could buy small pots.

Prim and Proper, my latest book. Magical Girls meet Mad Scientists, Eldritch Gods, and then try to save the day.
But what happens when this repeats itself for years without an end in sight? Well, the world adjusts.
In the city of Markha, ex magical girl turned Police Detective Berrill Straw and her colleague Daniel are charged with investigating the grisly murder of a retired magical girl under protection. In a world where the evil eldritch god of the week bakes cookies in his off times, cultists pray every week at church, and ever-youthful magical girls sell merchandise to keep themselves afloat after decades on the job, the villain of the week is ever-changing.
Yet everyone has skeletons in their closets. Except for Daniel, because he's clearly just a normal human.

Available at 0.99$ on Amazon or at Smashwords https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/927563

Also on Smashword, my first book 'The investigator and the case of the missing brain' is free until the 19th of May.

But what is the story about? It's about a penal colony founded in the depths of a hellhole called Cloatos. It's about a girl seeking to find her place in the world. It's about the Unnatural, magical monsters reminiscing of myths and folklore, and the Forgotten, those whom the world knows no longer. It's about a brain that has gone missing, a curse and an Investigator who feeds on despair.

This is a tale where there aren't shining heroes in white mantles, and where the witty humor and the barbs sail back and forth.

It is a tale where determination shines through the eyes of unsuspecting places, and cruel machinations ruin the lives of the innocents.

So go get it while it's free! https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/917169

Can a novice witch match the sinister forces gathering in a small town?

Following the implosion of her marriage and professional life, Maggie Corey needs to start over. Relocating to the idyllic New England town of Hope’s Crossing, where her family has settled since its founding, should be a welcome refresh. Aunt Clara is eager to retire and hand Maggie the keys to her store. And her new home might even help Maggie awaken her family’s rumored witchy powers.

Maggie’s plans have all the makings of a spell for success—until the sorcery turns sour.

Not long after the move, Aunt Clara is murdered in retaliation for an act of charity. Since Maggie inherits Clara’s small fortune, shop, and home, all eyes turn to her. With no witnesses and no suspects with an obvious motive, Maggie is framed as the perfect killer. Proving her own innocence is an uphill battle, especially when other descendants of Salem Witch Trial survivors like her are under constant threat and persecution in the pious town. To clear her name, Maggie will have to draw on the kindness of a few quirky residents, her aunt’s crafty cat, and her own blossoming supernatural powers.

With a deadly criminal on the loose, the newest witch in town might be the best chance Hope’s Crossing has to defeat murder with magic…
