I think there is a generational difference here too. My parents have asked me on several occasions if I would want to be buried at Arlington. The answer is an enthusiastic fuck no. Burials are illogical; they take up valuable space, and do nothing to help the environment. I would prefer to become a tree. You avoid the expensive cost of a casket and burial, and you provide oxygen to the world.

Thank you. The urn I bought was perfect. It turned out to be a full sized urn, so I was able to wrap his baby blanket around his ashes. It also had abstract angels etched on it that, on the way to the funeral, my husband remarked that they looked like dinosaur heads. It made me laugh.

Anointing oil keychain. As for the stuff inside, it looks like it could be a variety of oils depending on it's use.

those are called keepsake urns - for the purposes of keeping a loved one with you when traveling, multiple people wishing to keep ashes, or when display of a large urn isnt possible or practical, etc.

I hope the urn finds its way home.

I'm so sorry, and I definitely feel ya. We went shopping on Amazon together for cremation urns. Never thought I'd have to do that.

She picked a nice one, though. I think it gives her comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss. Re the following...I am making big assumptions here.

But funerals can be very expensive...and I did this for a friend recently.

  1. Find a low cost cremation. Should be 900 dollars
  2. Buy this urn....comes with water soluble bag. Biodegradable Urn (Lily at Peace) for Scattering Cremated Ashes in Ocean Water, Ground or Sea Burial, Earth Friendly Eco Urn, Water Soluble, Floating Urns for Cremation, Adult Size Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XB8PQWT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Dpc6CbMHYHSD6
  3. Get a friend of his to take you and his ashes out on his favorite water.

  4. Say a few words. Enjoy the lapping of the waves as he surely did. Commune with his soul in silence.

  5. When ready to say goodbye, set the lily on the water and push it gently out. It floats for a couple of minutes, then dives gently below the waves.
