This is what I buy. I realize this is an antiperspirant/deodorant as well, but I can't do the creamy stick kind anymore. There's like no scent to this, it doesn't get all over my clothes and build up, it works for hours, and I can get it through Prime.

u/n0m_de_plum · 30 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

Yeah, you're right. No one's overly and annoying obsessed with [bacon] (http://www.baconfreak.com/bacon-novelties-gifts.html). They don't make themselves look silly with their expressions of their love of [bacon] (http://www.foodista.com/blog/2012/09/16/the-bacon-suit-tee-will-make-you-sizzle). They don't spend too much money on some [food trend] (https://www.baconaddicts.com/products/connoisseurs-bacon-sampler-gourmet-smokehouse-gift-basket).

Or used bacon in impractical ways.

And there are [no] (https://www.royalbaconsociety.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/bacon-undies-girls.jpg) [products] (https://baconsalt.3dcartstores.com/Bacon-Scented-Underwear-for-Men_p_214.html?gclid=CMuc95K-gNICFdRahgod5rQLnw) that don't need to be bacon themed. Nope. None at all. Not one.

So clearly it is just that us women to waaaay too far with our love of the PSL...because no real man would like such a girly drink, and there's nothing sexist about those facts!

I believe the term you are seeking is "Zero Waste" living, or something close to.

Researching a bit of "zero waste" living products may help you get started with some ideas! I find a lot of material on youtube about zero waste living and am dabbling into the reality of the lifestyle myself. I am not sure if you are a man or woman, or what kinds of products you do use in your bathroom (toiletries, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, etc.) But I figured I would offer a few of my favorite alternatives to common items that you may look into.

Safety razors. Disposable razors/plastic handles with replaceable heads are convenient, yet highly wasteful and overall expensive to maintain. There are lots of stainless steel safety razors on the market with the feature of removable blades (of which you replace and recycle once your current blade has fulfilled it's purpose). Safety razors range from about $25- $50 and can last up to a lifetime. The replaceable razor blades can be found for very cheap (their lifetime lasts according to your usage). Here are amazon links to exemplary items:

Homemade deodorant and/or natural sustainable deodorants: These can be tricky to get started with. Most commercial deodorants use aluminum to block your sweaty glands and completely block the process of perspiration. So, I urge you to take on natural deodorants with patience and give different methods a chance to work for themselves.

You can make your own, in a glass jar with ingredients that are less harmful to your body and this may be the best method to find something that aligns with your own body chemistry. A typical recipe for homemade deodorant would be 1 part coconut oil to 1 part bicarbonate soda (baking soda). BICARBONATE SODA MAY IRRITATE YOUR UNDERARMS. For the first couple weeks of usage, you may experience irritation of your glands purging the aluminum blockage and other toxins built up over time. Baking soda may also cause irritation to those who shave quite frequently, however I have found that applying this mixture at least 30 minutes after I shaved armpits in the shower, that I am less likely to get slight itchiness, if any at all. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY IF THIS METHOD IS NOT TOLERABLE FOR YOU.

If you are not keen on the idea of slathering on some good old homemade, Hippie salve, then Piperwai AND Schmidt's are popular brands with minimal packaging that seem to work for majority of people. These two products still contain bicarbonate soda, but will save you the convenience of not making your own. There are plenty of zero waste options that do not contain bicarbonate soda, but I have found luck with this formula and haven't looked beyond to seek anything else. Again, youtube is a good resource for finding such.

As for soaps, there are many wonderful body, face, and hair soaps available on the market today. Investing in simple bars with paper packaging or reusable storage may be the best option for avoiding excess packaging. There are lots of options available either on Etsy, at your city Whole Foods, or there are usually natural soap options that can be found quite locally at farmers markets and such hopefully in your hometown. Personal preference will go into certain decision making with soaps but bars are usually the best way to avoid said packaging.

Hopefully this offered a small bit of help and information to help you get started in your journey towards minimalism and green-thumb consciousness! Good luck!

Yes! I use Denali and freaking love its scent and how well it works for me. Plus, no more yellow stains or white smudges on my shirts- it's like a whole new world!

u/minus20kg · 6 pointsr/highlevelkarma

Then present him this

It's the greatest deodorant.

u/spookymagicians · 4 pointsr/medical

My friend got one as well, it came and went until one day it became infected and I had to drain it. You might be allergic to a chemical in the deodorant you use. Try switching to a different brand. If it persists, this deodorant worked well for my friend. You do have to put it on at least twice a day, but it’s all natural.

Edit to add: friend hasn’t had this problem come up in the past 2 years he’s been using this product. If it still persists, I recommend going to a dermatologist.

I make my own and when I’m lazy I buy this. Schmidt's Natural Deodorant, Fragrance-Free, 2 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7UMEQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T3IaBb7W2KRB7

u/Bjr34b · 3 pointsr/weddingplanning

Try using the Gold Bond spray! They sell it at walmart and its a lifesaver for me in the summer. I've been in two outdoor weddings on 95+ degree days and I ended up buying several for both weddings.

u/ma____ · 3 pointsr/fragrance

Great pickup, I love ADG Profumo. When I wear fragrance, I usually pair it with unscented deodorant like this just to make sure I'm not having a million different smells radiate off of me.

u/SnowWhiteandthePear · 3 pointsr/AsianBeauty

I actually have one! I have the Missha Special Edition Magic Cushion Case (link to review) and even though the red and gold one isn't often available they have a white one that isn't limited edition:

https://www.amazon.com/Schmidts-Deodorant-Bergamot-Protection-Aluminum-Free/dp/B00D6OWWQC

This stuff works great. I use the alum block, but if you want limes, this is it.

u/Buffalo__Buffalo · 3 pointsr/TooAfraidToAsk

This is the sort of thing that I'm talking about.

Good luck!

u/jjw4ucm · 3 pointsr/everymanshouldknow

http://www.amazon.com/Hammer-Essentials-Solid-Deodorant-Unscented/dp/B00E3B47ZQ

I have to vouch for this stuff. Wal-Mart sells the scented kind in my area, and they are both fantastic. Free of most of the chemically stuff you're trying to avoid, but still extremely effective (for me at least) and also pretty cheap.

To give you an idea, I can wear any other deodorant (even the "prescription strength" stuff) and still be funky at the end of the day, from just sitting in a classroom or an office all day. This stuff, I'm fresh all day and it lasts even through workouts, Summer activities, etc. At least that's been my experience.

u/temporarily_blind · 2 pointsr/NaturalBeauty

I've been using schmidt's deodorant for the past few months and I feel that it works really well. A little pricey, but not too bad considering a jar lasted me 2.5 months. It's a hard deodorant that you scoop out and apply.

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/vegan

Stick deodorant: consider Tom's long-lasting men's deodorant. I am pretty sure this is an antiperspirant as well. I love the brand and use one of their deodorants as well.

Toothpaste: perhaps Dr. Bronner's. they are all natural and a really reputable vegan brand.

This one! https://www.amazon.com/APIEU-Smart-Cushion-Case-DIY/dp/B00KLS0YZM (but I got mine on roseroseshop for $5)

unscented deodorant is what I usually go for, I have a few others that are basic scents to compliment certain fragrances but I won't wear a complicated scented deodorant with a perfume.

u/DoUHearThePeopleSing · 1 pointr/AskMen

Fear not! There is a spray version, which is easy to apply :)

u/iEatPorcupines · 1 pointr/socialanxiety

Can you send me a link of it? This is what I'm looking at.

u/RSA37 · 1 pointr/Hyperhidrosis

I just buy it at a local pharmacy, but it’s available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Perspirex-Underarm-Roll-on-Antiperspirant-25ml/dp/B018IZWPDS

Hope it works!

u/info123445 · 1 pointr/Sephora

I have tried them all and the only one that works for me consistently has been Bali Secrets Bali Secrets Natural Deodorant - Organic & Vegan - For Women & Men - All Day Fresh - Strong & Reliable Protection - 2.5 fl.oz/75ml [Scent: Original Essence] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012E9DMNQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-YQjDbT654S58

u/dachxhon · 1 pointr/Outlier

I used to have the same issue and was unable to resolve it -- I trashed a bunch of very nice (non-Outlier) merino shirts. Afterwards, I decided to test a bunch of deodorants online (10, to be precise) over the course of a few months until I found one that 1) did not stain, 2) did not cause any itching, and 3) eliminated all musk. Behold, the result: Bale Secrets Natural Deodorant [LINK]. While this isn't a solution, I hope it helps!

I'm a dude but I'll freshen up with some Secret sometimes....just smells like powder.

Fa also comes in a glass bottle. https://www.amazon.com/Fa-Deodorant-Ounce-Roll-Sport/dp/B0006PKH7K

Most of the spray can types can be recycled when empty. Best bang for the buck is Arrid XX (if you're in the US, usually found on the bottom shelf with the 'older' brands.)

u/ExquisiteCart · 1 pointr/ABDL

No scent on Libero either.

I would imagine it was mostly due to parental concern that the scents were taken away. Or that it was costing too much to add the scent and nobody noticed when it was gone (except us of course :) ).

If you want to re-do the scent sort of, buy a bottle of Secret deodorant. It is basically the same http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008CC44U0

Ugh. I had a terrible bo issue after having lo. And it lasted for 2-3 months. Now I just feel like I get smellier faster. I use soapwalla It's expensive but it's the only natural deodorant that I've found that works and doesn't make my underarms break out.

u/maxsaxis · 1 pointr/Outlier

After trying a lot of natural deo's (Schmidt's, Lavilin, Arm & Hammer, Tom's, etc) Soapwalla's cream is by far my favorite.

Pros:

  • It's natural/organic/plant-based

  • Effective at odor control (without clogging pores)

  • Has a nice but not overwhelmingly strong scent (can use cologne without feeling like the two scents are competing)

  • Applies easily (as opposed to other 'creams' like Schmidt's, which I found very annoying to have to rub between my fingers to soften/warm up)

  • Packaging has small footprint (doesn't take up excess space in tightly-packed bag like standard tube deo does

  • Has never left stains on my clothing (including Outlier merino t and button-down)

    (Potential) Cons:

  • I have only tried the lavendar scent (other option is citrus, which I plan to try next), which some men may deem as too feminine smelling, although I don't find it to be so

  • It's expensive (but a little goes a long way, and it checks all the boxes for me)

You should try this, Comfy Boys - #1 Intimate Deodorant for Men - 4 Oz Daily Grooming Routine Companion https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CSS3ZQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kNg7AbV1SVFJ9

It might not matter what underwear you use as the problem sounds like damp, moist crotch which happens. This could help you be more comfortable even if the boys want to go low. Also can help prevent jock itch which is not fun.

u/jkskiier · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I've used a bunch, but found Arm and Hammer the best.

u/gkidd · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Man none of you people know... This right here is the shit for making you dry.

I had a sweaty armpits issue, and I told my wife"that's it, I'm going for a botox treatment", she wouldn't have it because botox is poison and blah blah... She asked me to give this baby a try and if it doesn't work then do what I want.

You have no idea what it does! Just try it man...

p.s. I wish they pay me for how much I praise this product wherever this subject arises.

u/chalkedupmonkey · 1 pointr/bouldering

The first three should take you 80% of the way.

  1. Take your shoes off when you're not climbing. Don't sit or stand around in them. This also helps keep the shape of the shoe.

  2. Wipe your feet before you put your shoes on each time

  3. Get these and put it in your shoes when you're done for the day.

  4. This has worked for some people. I've had mixed results.

  5. Some people say don't wash, but I washed my Moccs with warmish water every few months when I had them. Everything was fine. I used some powder laundry detergent to help get the gunk out, but there's probably some leather soap you can use. Laundry detergent is for cloth.
