For a starter book to get the basics of stargazing, I would recommend Nightwatch: A Practical Guide To Viewing the Universe or Turn Left At Orion. They don't have real detailed sky maps, but they give good representations of some of the major constellations and names.

For star maps, I use Sky & Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas or Orion's DeepView Star Map. These ones are good for more detailed star maps and require a few basics to figure out. Or you can just match the stars up to known stars and just stumble your way around (which is not a bad learning method either).

Well I’m guessing at that age they will be doing storyboards, so i recommend pencils, colouring pencils and paper.

Posters such as this or this one should also fit in ok.

My Mexican parents were in the process of getting their American citizenship. I was in the 3rd grade and we would take turns asking practicing the US citizenship test. They fully immerse themselves in American history and geography. I also had a kids US Map Placemat from which I started at every meal for 5 years (the other side had the presidents on it!)

Hey, sorry i'm a little late to the party. I just got the same telescope last week, and it is awesome! I just picked up a couple things.

  • A 2x Barlow Lens

    This One.

    and

  • A Moon Filter

    This One

The moon is still fairly bright with the filter, so you may want to get the 25% instead of the 13%, although im happy with it.

I also got this sky chart, but it's obviously not that necessary. Keep in mind, i'm still a newbie, so take my recommendations with a grain of salt. Have fun! :)

Thanks! See the reply to another comment. Just posted the recipe. It's real easy! Just drybrushing and tape. The kind of cork you need for the road is like this:

If there's a way to share notebooks on OneNote I could send you a little bit of what I have. I was extremely unhappy with Admin and suffered every bit of the way. I also used a few videos that my teacher sent me from youtube because I was struggling so much.

What is admin law?

The textbook I had (pretty helpful)

PermaChart (I have one for civpro that's helpful but I don't have this one)

This tool has that feature, it’s very useful. Hard to see in the Amazon pic but it’s that top middle slice

Initially was just looking for a Jhope poster pack, but low-and-behold, there’s hardly any reliable ones. I’ve been looking at buying these since there seems to be more reviews, but I’m not sure.
