Check out http://www.elknut.com/. Paul knows his stuff and breaks it down so even a beginner (like myself) can be successful.
I started out with an external reed cow call like this one and am now starting to learn with a mouth diaphragm. Youtube instructional videos will be your best friend. Cow calling is much easier than bugling but being able to do both is best of course.
