They don't look at worse than some of the roller-blade style protection I see plenty of people using; but I'd say for a comparable price-point I'd rather get something like these with better padding and more coverage.

Get some Lacrosse balls, I actually prefer them and they are cheap (6 for $17 on amazon).

These DeBeer goggles are the ones that I wore. I know a few girls on my old HS team that wore glasses with them, but they were smaller frames. I pretty much only wore my contacts when I played lax because I felt like my frames impaired my vision enough that I didn't feel comfortable playing in them.

Someone suggested these on amazon and said they work well if you wear glasses under them.

Congrats on the new team! Hope your first season goes well! =)

One college legal head that is super pinched is the Rabil X. It uses the Noz technology with the nitrogen insert so it is super light. Another really tightly pinched college head is the Evo Pro X6. Not as tight all the way up as the Rabil but it's X6 so the scoop is 6 inches across while the Rabil's is 6.5 inches.

I just searched "lacrosse stick" on Amazon and there are at least five sticks that are priced $25-$30 on the first page. If you are just messing around get one that is normal sized (midfield/attack).
Here is one stick for $30: http://www.amazon.com/STX-Complete-Beginners-Lacrosse-Platinum/dp/B003798IBO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_2

It won't be the best quality, but it will work for what you want it to do. If you consider playing on a team you should get a better beginner stick in the $40-$60 range to start.

If you wanna go expensive--->http://www.amazon.com/Champion-Sports-Lacrosse-Backstop-White/dp/B005I66MIA something like this

If you wanna go cheap. ---> Maybe mosquito netting from a local army surplus store or camping store. They're pretty cheap and could be tied together. Would take a bit of set up and rigging but would probably turn out alright. You could also try monofilament net if you could find a store that sells it.

I got these for my rec league team. Comfortable, reversible, moisture wicking.

You can iron on numbers/logos pretty easily. Just stick a piece of cardboard between the two layers of fabric and iron on.

Warning: jerseys run a little long. I'm about 6'2, and a large runs down to my mid butt cheeks. It's no problem if you tuck it in, but just an FYI.

Got that recently and I love it, it's light weight and provides decent protection

YW! I don't try to size up as much anymore, I've found my happy limit :) If you're looking to be able to gradually take something bigger, I'd soo recommend (the medium one):

My daughter used these until she got contacts. Very few options out there, but she liked these.

Girlsplaywow is a jerk - I say that yet I don't mean it at all. Anyone who gifts to this level can in no way be a jerk. Not to mention all the other nice stuff you mentioned.

I am torn between linking work or play. One of life's ultimate dilemmas. So with that in mind if I am fortunate enough to win this, Girlsplaywow you get to decide as you are the contest holder. Work or play

I bought the Sherwood 5030 "Traditional" shoulder pads because I wanted something lower-profile, but I was amazed at how little chest/rib protection there actually was. I liked the way they fit/felt though, so I bought one of these padded shirts that I think are normally used for baseball to wear under it.

Haven't taken a shot to the chest with it, so I can't speak to effectiveness, but it does give me a bit of piece of mind.
