So I've had that for about a month.

It seems to be working. Even if you get "professional" laser removal, you have to go back every so often to get touch ups. It's not as permanent as you think.

I zap myself about twice a week if I remember and there is noticeably less hair on my bikini line, and ZERO razor burn/ingrown hairs bc the hair is growing back sparser? I dunno. All I know is that I'd always have razor burn and stupid bumps and ingrown hairs from shaving every other day or so down there.

Now they are non-existent. There's still hair, but less, and I'm only a month or so into the process. I'd be fine with zapping myself twice a week for the rest of my life if it meant no more ingrown hairs and razor burn tbh. Even if all the hairs never fully go away and I still have to minimally shave.

If you Can save up a couple hundred dollars, you can buy a hand held unit. They run between $200-$400.

I was able to get this unit for $217 from Amazon when it was on sale. Keep your eyes Open:

A quick google search says the size is more in line with a vcr.

As for my advice, for as much as this thing costs, I would keep an eye out on your local Groupon/Living social for laser hair removal deals. I've seen 3 different spas advertise at 90% off packages in the last 8 months or so in the area I live(I paid 99 bucks for three treatments on a small area). If she is willing to be a little patient, she can be certain for sure the professional treatment will work and not be subject to flimsy craftsmanship.

Edit to add the treatment didn't hurt at all for me, but it did smell like burnt popcorn.

I was going to say Olay Pro X Face brush but when I looked it up it's closer to $20. There are a few cheaper off brand ones though that I think could still be good.

I also use a little travel facial razor like this one on amazon. Mine is literally the as seen on TV one though and I see it for less than $20 in stores that have as seen on TV junk. I got it as a gift but it works surprisingly well...one of those things I probably would not have picked for myself.

Beauty Blender knock offs like the Flower Sponge but I think they are less than $10.

I've never done a favorites party so I am not sure if this is the right type of thing or not.

The devices range in prices depending on features and quality. I use this one; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-Silk-expert-Permanent-Visible-Removal/dp/B018CVHA5Q

Intense Pulsed Light. It's like a laser. I was looking at this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074PBD3P1/

You can pretty much cook as many steaks as you can fit in your container, so long as you keep them somewhat separated. I like to use cheap steel cooling racks for this. They'll rust, but that doesn't really matter.

As for container recommendations, get yourself a restaurant-style plastic food bin. They hold heat a lot better and are better shaped than a big pot. I have a 5 gallon Rubbermaid model, which works very well for medium to large cooks. I've fit four racks of beef ribs in there (barely!), and an 4-bone rib roast in that thing, as well as a metric butt-ton of kabobs (about 15 lbs!).

However, if you're just feeding yourself and/or a significant other, it's probably a bit overkill. In that case, going for a 3 gallon squarish bin is probably a good idea, since you can buy aftermarket lids for them to fit your sous vide cooker.

I used the sharper image laser hair removal and it significantly reduced the hair on my legs. They don’t sell it anymore :/ but I replaced it with this and it’s good so far: MiSMON Laser Hair Removal For Women and Men, At Home IPL Hair Removal Device for Permanent Results on Face and Body - Safe And Effective IPL Technology https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDD11X5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UAYxDb8X8RS90

has anyone ever used an at-home laser? like the tria or silk'n?

u/PistolPete16 · 1 pointr/sex

I was a long time shaver with similar issues to you. I recently invested in a at-home laser hair removal system and it has been awesome. I have been able to pretty much give myself a permanent bro-zillion. I am naturally very hairy so this was no easy task.

Nah men, try out something like this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/xnicx-Detangling-Detangler-Hair-Improve-Circulation/dp/B07D29SYRJ . The improve circulation is bullshit but what you need are those wide tooth things. Use it in the shower to detangle with the conditioner on. After that don’t dry your hair with the towel unless you are in Alaska or something. And with your hair still wet give it another comb out of the shower, after that just use your hands to shape it in a way you like. You’re going to see results as soon as you stop using that hair brush I promise.

I got the DESS permanent hair removal device. It works amazing. I also use this electric razor that works great. It's only around $15 and it blades are good for like 6 months for me. In combination it's good enough after a couple laser sessions. I would also recommend getting professional laser hair removal for the face done at a clinic, their lasers are more powerful. Typically laser sessions are $100-$250 a month, or total around $1500-$2500.

https://www.amazon.com/removal-DEESS-device-Not-stand-alone-installed/dp/B072PVSJZL.

As far as the end results, ive only been using it 3 weeks(once a week for the first 4 weeks, then once a month)
So I'm not done yet but hair is already growing back much slower on chest and the hair on my hands has stopped growing almost completely. I assume it would just look like you're fresh shaven all the time but i need more time to see for myself.

remington ipl6780:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01KLXFSNO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

previously, I had used the Tria 4x home laser, but the ipl is faster to use and it turned out that, for me, the ipl was also more effective

I am also a hairy guy as well been looking at different options. I don't know how well it works but the review videos I have seen give the product decent reviews. But can you really trust people on the the interwebs?

Thank you very much! I was reading about the Tria on its Amazon page under Important information - Indications.

I'll definitely give this a thorough read-through within the next couple of days and I may come back with questions. Thanks again!

What the hell do you call this then?

http://www.amazon.com/Avance-CRBDYE50ML-Carbon-Dye-50ml/dp/B004HW8LK8

Secondly, 1 treatment doesn't take care of it. Hair grows in 3 stages and you have to nail the hair in the growth stage multiple times. That requires about 9 treatments over the course of 9 months. Maybe you should actually do some research next time because you don't know jack squat about hair removal.

Also, chill the fuck out.
