Here's a list I've started compiling for when I get some extra money. You may have seen quite a bit of it, but in case it helps:

Wheels:
For some reason the site said this wouldn't fit but it looks like the same dimensions as the one below it
But the first ones here are the ones i want

https://www.roadreadywheels.com/products/2007-2011-16x6-5-chevrolet-hhr-steel-wheel-rim?gclid=Cj0KEQjw8-LnBRCyxtfMl-Cbu48BEiQA6eUMGg4BPXpGrXRT8YUYRu14lA49XXZ4EaF6p8BvaciStdgaAlCY8P8HAQ

Alternatively i know these would fit:

Daystar 1.5 Lift:

Instructions for lift:
https://wayalife.com/showthread.php/33412-Jeep-Renegade-Daystar-1-5-quot-Lift-Kit-Installation-Write-Up

spacers: i think i need 'em for the tires i want

it's weird that the link says 25mm but the site says they are 17mm http://www.renegadeready.com/25mm-Wheel-Spacer-Kit--BLACK--All-4-Wheels_p_76.html

I think these tires but on a thread the guy said he gets slight rubbing at 3/4 with pretty much the same set up:

So these have 5 percent shorter wall, hoping that would help alleviate that:

If you have 15 inch rims I'd go for these

Which Legacy do you have? The 1996 Legacy LS uses 195/60-R15 stock tires, whereas the Legacy Outback uses a stock size of 205/70-R15.

Some of the better off road tires are the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T-A KO2's. You can also go with the Grabber AT tires which are much cheaper. The only problem is that it's sometimes tough to find all sizes with one brand. Both are good tires though.

The only downside is a bit of a reduction in mpg, increased tire noise, and a little more wear and tear on the suspension and bearings. The trade off is pure awesomeness and great offroad grip.

You can get them at most tire shops but they might have to order that size. These are just a couple examples of what's out there.

Buy the tires online with free shipping then ask your dealer to put them on for you. My dealer did it for $10 a tire. That savings should allow you to buy a full set.

I'm running Mastercraft Courser C/Ts the previous owner installed a few years back. Feel the rubber is too hard, evrytime I'm on the trail the rubber is getting torn off.

I'm open to any recommendations! I'm currently looking at the Cooper ST Maxx in a 255/85.

On a side note, has anyone had experience with the Kenda Klever MT tires? I've run their tires on my mountain bike, but I didn't know they make automotive tires. Theyve got decent reviews on amazon and have a seriously competitive price!

I don't notice road noise at all. They are Falcon Wildpeaks 265/70R17. Can't beat the price if KO2s are too much.

I actually bought my tires on amazon. They arrived a day early. I had installation done at Pep Boys for a little over a $100.

You can pay for the installation at the time of purchase through Amazon to be done somewhere near you as well.

I'm thinking these tires BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 All-Season Radial Tire - 33x12.50R15/C 108R. Can a local tire shop install and take care of the sensors? These are also an option: Dick Cepek Extreme Country All-Terrain Radial Tire - 33X12.50R15LT 108Q

Edit: Pro Comp Steel Wheels Series 52 Wheel with Flat Black Finish (15x8"/5x4.5") will be okay for a JK and these tires, right?

u/heltzelb · 1 pointr/4x4

No reason. I'm not familiar with tires. So you'd recommend these?

u/Smilemon · 1 pointr/battlewagon

It looks like you may need to run a longer trailing arm in the back if you're going to fit a bigger tire. I can't quite tell from the picture.

Where will you be offroading? What sort of temperatures will you be driving in and what sort of terrain?

I personally think that the Toyo Open Country A/T II is a fantastic tire on and off road. I run them on my 1966 Land Rover and my mom runs them on her Rav 4. Excellent ride and grip when aired down to 18psi on a trail. I think they come in a 225/70/R16 which might fit your outback, I'm not sure. You might need a 215.

You could also check out Nokian hakkapeliitta R2, 215/65r16. I've heard rave things. I believe my dad has a set on our Honda Fit, and it rallies through deep snow and icy hills no problem.

How long have you had those tires on? What are your thoughts and would you buy them again?

I like the styling of them, they looks off road capable and the price is great. I saw reviews on amazon of the sidewalls failing pretty fierce and that scared me away from the brand.

I have Fuzion tires on my other vehicle (over 20K miles) and I have been happy with them. Sumic tires seem to be rated well on Amazon so I am seriously considering them.

Reading through some ih8mud threads, it looks like I can mount 275/70/18s on there with the stock rims without further modification.

I ran these on my YJ for a while. Loved them on and off road. Great snow and ice traction as well
