I have the original - http://www.amazon.com/Belly-Bandit-Original-Black-Small/dp/B001T4WJO6/ Worked great for me! Wore it ALL THE TIME from about 2 w pp (when I got it) until 12-ish w, and still wear it occasionally at 6 m pp, because my incision still gets irritated and inflamed occasionally and it provides support and cuts down on friction.

28 weeks here.

Re: Exercise

I'm not doing much exercise. I was kind of a slug to begin with. I walk, but not much (a few minutes between bus stop and destination). The impact of my feet on the ground hurts my stomach now so I can't walk as fast as I used to. We're gamers and we joke that "Haz Babby" is a -100 Agility and Walk Speed de-buff. =D

Re: Maternity Clothes

I'm very reluctant to spend a lot of money on such a temporary thing. And I'm in Enterprise IT Operations, I work with a bunch of SysAdmins in random pants and ratty t-shirts and have almost zero fashion sense of my own. But it depends on your fashion sense and your needs. If you have a customer-facing/consulting job or just need to look good to feel good, then the money will be well spent.

I started wearing maternity jeans at 16-18-ish weeks (can't quite remember). I only have one pair and just wash them when I need to. I bought it from eBay used, based on my in-seam measurement. I'm usually a 27" in-seam, but I got a 29" in-seam pair. It's a little too long, so I have it folded up at the ankle, but this way, it fits my hips nicely. BTW, my butt shrank (!!)

I have a few maternity tops, but I'm actually still wearing my normal shirts. I think some of them will be all stretched and ruined, so I'm trying not to wear any that were favorites. But I think I'll just get new shirts when my weight settles down post-partum. =) I also went to Costco and bought cheap shirts that were one or two sizes bigger than what I normally wear. They're not as nice a fit as maternity shirts, but they work, they're very comfy and they're cheap. I've only had some luck with thrift stores/good will with maternity clothes. It makes sense... I wouldn't just donate good maternity clothes either. I'd sell them or give it to close friends/family.

Re: Maternity Accessories

I think you should wait and see. Everybody is different and will need different things for comfort and convenience.

I'm still in my regular bras for now. Some people go up a size or two. But I don't think it's a special "maternity" pattern (like shirts and pants that are normal everywhere except with stretchy or extra big middles), so you can get them when you need them.

I bought a pregnancy belt on someone else's strong recommendation, but I'm finding it's not helping that much and it makes my tummy look weird. Now that I'm a bit bigger, I can see that, like most clothing articles, the product is being modelled by someone who doesn't need it at all. I might try it again in a few weeks to see because it does help a little, just not enough to justify the hassle of wearing it.

I think I'll wait and see with nursing bras. Having a flap that opens on my bra seems convenient, but will I really use it? And likewise with bra pads. If I leak, I'll get some...

I'm interested in a post-partum belt for afterwards, but my Mother-in-Law says she'll get one for me from Taiwan when she goes back because it's much cheaper there.

Yup I wear them with jeans. I'm on my phone but here is the link... if it doesn't work I'll fix it when I get home. Seriously love this thing.

Yep, this is more like a weight belt minus the suspender straps. I bought this one. It's obnoxiously expensive, but the other ones I tried on just didn't work well for my body shape.

There are tons out there, I don't think there's one that's way better than another.

I bought the Shrinkx hips & Shrinkx belly wrap.

I really liked the belly wrap, it seemed to hold everything in nicely, regardless of how well it worked for belly shrinkage. The hip wrap is a little less comfortable but you really only wear it until the relaxin goes away. I didn't measure myself but I'm really not any bigger than I was before my pregnancy
