Try a belly band to go over your unbuttoned pants =) I didn't get to try it, but the last time I mentioned them, it got some good comments =)

I also heard of using a rubber band to hold the button to the loop.

Something that can help with the lack of belly support from your dresses is a belly band. Its basically just the support piece of your maternity pants/legging that you can wear anytime. It might help a bit with extending the life of your dresses :)

Here is one I found after a quick search on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007T993US/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1474984746&sr=1-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&dpPl=1&dpID=41-MkFrEXBL&ref=plSrch

So I got a MaeBand and wore it today with my regular jeans (read: not my fat jeans) for the first time. A++++++ 11/10, will wear again. Makes the bloat much more bearable with the added benefit of not having to resort to fat jeans frump. Trying to wait until after I tell my coworkers before going full-on stretchy pants and leggings as that is not something I really ever wore to work before becoming pregnant.

Also, I discovered that I was able to go to the bathroom without having to unbutton or unzip my jeans...just pull down and pull back up. Let's just call that efficient and not lazy for the sake of appearances.

In case the original is sold out or not in your budget, there are a few similar ones on Amazon. I hope you like one of them in that case:

I have this one and I love it.

u/reducioscope · 3 pointsr/BabyBumps

I wear the full panel ones, and most days I wear a belly band over it. This is usually snug enough to help keep the pants in place (my pants slide a little too, slender hips, I guess), and hide the panel, since the band just looks like a layered tank or tee. Together, they feel cozy against my body and give my belly a nice shape.

Could something like this work? No shoulders, but looks like its based on belly size.

I got the Mini Cradle from Amazon. I'm a size 16 prepregnancy and have a 49" belly right now (wow) at 26 weeks. I fit into the middle rung on the size M well. I do remember going up to the last set of hooks at the end of my last pregnancy.

This one is the bare minimum (I don't know if it would qualify as having "back support"). However it took a lot of the strain off my lower back. I feel more morning sick if I have too much pressure on my tummy, and this was supportive and the smallest width I could find. It helped a lot, I have a screwy back already from scoliosis so it was great to have less weight on my lower back. I just used the same one through my 2nd and 3rd trimesters.

So holding my belly also relieved a lot of of the same sort of pain, and this belt from amazon has been great for the 14 bucks it cost me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073PBDWKN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The downside is that it does not work as well if you are squatting, getting in and out of a chair, or similar, although I have run in it and it worked well. I tried backsquatting in it, and it rode up to the point of being useless. It was fine if I was just sitting, but I don't really need support now while sitting. I'm 22w and fairly small, so if you're bigger or further along it might stay better.

Mine is an off brand version of this: Ingrid & Isabel Women's Bellaband Basic, Black, Small/Medium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LM7IS22/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_qnMzzb46V6E4K

u/stargirl142 · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

I had the same issue when I hit about 7ish weeks (? Not that terribly long ago but the details are already getting fuzzy lol) but I didn’t actually start gaining weight until I was into the second trimester, the bloat is real. This kept me in my regular jeans until I was 18 weeks, though a hair tie does about the same thing https://www.amazon.com/Maeband-Large-Midnight-Black/dp/B01MQII0LL

u/mrs_hobo · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

I bought this Belevation one and like it. I don't wear it a ton because I wear leggings for added warmth under maternity pants and then tank top and shirt and find that's enough layers of support. But if I wear regular sweatpants at home, I wear my band. Might start wearing it at night too when I get bigger.

u/OliviaPresteign · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I loved my belly band because it allowed me to comfortably wear my normal professional pants for a really long time.

Beyond that, honestly, I had a super hard time finding maternity clothes that fit that I could wear to work and look polished. I ended up doing a LeTote maternity subscription.

u/batswantsababy · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005MT0MD4/ref=mp_s_a_1_sc_1?qid=1427799706&sr=8-1-spell&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=curaid+pregnancy+support

It's kind of a hassle sometimes and bulky, but it has helped me with both upper and lower back pain, and with pain in my legs. Sometimes I feel like it isn't doing that much, and then I take it off and realize how much heavier my belly feels.

u/crystal2435 · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

It really depends on the type of problems you are having. Diastases issue? The recommendation is a standard pregnancy belt. If you are having pelvic and sacral instability then an SI belt is probably recommended. They do make a modified verson of the two molded into one such as this one. Hope that helps a bit.

I actually have a form of both. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

u/nicari_13 · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

I have a spot next to my belly button where a hernia is trying to form. My midwife recommended a support band to me. I bought this one:

http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MT0MD4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It really has helped immensely on days where I was standing and walking. On days I work I'm mostly in a chair and it just annoyed me. I would say pros is that it does help lift the bump and support me. Cons is that it gets hot and washing it is annoying because of the velcro.

u/pscalici · 2 pointsr/parentsofmultiples

I used this one I bought on Amazon. ORT22300D - Medline Curad Maternity Belt sizes 4 to 14 (Medium) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005MT0MD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_jzWSzb4HJMJ7G
It worked for me. There are many other brands that make similar ones that you can choose from too.

u/sis_RN · 2 pointsr/nursing

I think at target. Here's one on Amazon: Mama Band, Belly Band, Black, Medium (Pre-pregnant Pant Size 8-10-12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051NTHJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_25vAxbDTNJFSV best $10 ever

u/mrssteddyj · 2 pointsr/BabyBumps

If you are heavier, they definitely feel like high wasted jeans and I started wearing them around 7 weeks because I was so bloated. If you are thin/average sized they will probably just bunch up since your bump is what holds the pants up.

I also still wear some of my pre-pregnancy jeans with a hair tie around the button and through the loop. Then held up with a belly band like this one.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm definitely a pear shape and my belly never really "popped" when I was pregnant, but maternity pants were still the most comfortable. I ended up buying some elastic belly bands and they definitely helped keep my pants up.

The ones I got we're similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/Maternity-Pregnancy-Non-slip-Silicone-Stretch/dp/B07RZ3X65K/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=Belly+bands&qid=1569626075&s=gateway&sr=8-5

I hated the normal fabric belly bands that I just stretched over my entire waist. Mine never seemed to stay up and didn't seem to work well. Once I switched to this it was a lot easier to extend the life of my normal pants. https://www.amazon.com/Maeband-Maternity-Belly-Band/dp/B01N9417XA

u/sp3cia1j · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I have something like this . I started wearing it when I couldn’t button my jeans but maternity jeans were too big. Being able to wear it over leggings is an added bonus.

I got this. It arrived today. I wore it for a few hours and don't have any complaints so far. It's comfortable. I need to take my dogs on a walk and see if it REALLY helps, but that isn't happening today so I don't have a true review yet. I figured it's cheap enough that it's totally worth a try. The upper band helped with the rib pain I've been getting lately, so that's nice.

u/oldfashionedblonde · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

Loose tank tops, definitely! I wore men’s T-shirt’s in a size up, nightgowns worked great for me at night. I also used one of these for my non maternity pants: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MQII0LL?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2 and it was a godsend until I got too big for my regular pants

u/takes22tango · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I've been wearing one of these since about 25 weeks with my twins. (there are lots of different brands of basically the same thing). I'm on my second one since I had to size up recently, but it's been a lifesaver. I didn't start getting back pain, and it has kept me almost hip pain free up til 32 weeks (I have a 40+week belly). My only complaints might be that the belly support sometimes squishes my bladder a little more, but I have to pee all the time anyway, so it's really not a big deal.

u/rheacheri · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I bought this one off of amazon and I love it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018VPP3TI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_IGDAxbGXEXSB2

u/mrsdorkcharming · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I'm a 16-20 (depending on the brand/clothing item) and got both of these in a XL, the shorts are for under dresses definitely not shapers more like chub rub prevention.

they both fit great, almost a little too big, you'd probably be fine in a L.

I got this one back in January, I'm expecting twins and this has made a difference on days where I'm walking or standing a lot. It's also really good with unbuttoned pants. I haven't switched to maternity pants yet because of it.

u/nikitatikin · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

Sorry! Just saw this reply. I got this one and love it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007T993DU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_-2r.yb8QN1PGM

u/phyllis_the_cat · 1 pointr/CsectionCentral

I had a wrap band? last time, like a belt, and I hated it. It rolled up and was just really crappy. I've been looking at a bikini style one for a while, and will probably order it for my c section in October.

This is what I was looking at.

u/groovyfinch · 1 pointr/February2018Bumpers

Ha! I checked my Amazon order history from 2011 and found this. But there are probably better ones out there by now!

u/AmandaPants87 · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

The support belt I ordered was actually just delivered yesterday. I'm ... not sure if I have it positioned correctly? I bought the "Mini Cradle" via Amazon.

If I have it on the tightest setting, it feels like my pants are very snug and it digs in uncomfortably. But if I have it on the middle setting, it doesn't feel like it's of any help. I suppose I'll get the hang of it and/or grow into it. :-/

u/UnreachableDreams · 1 pointr/BabyBumps

I have the prenatal cradle - two types actually, one is just belly and the other is the big one. It helps like mad. anytime I go out i'm wearing it (I started feeling pain REALLY early on and it was recommended to me)

this is the mini - http://www.amazon.com/Its-You-Babe-Cradle-181-225/dp/B000I5UASY/ref=pd_bxgy_hpc_img_y
