YTA

You married into the family knowing what her restrictions were. You are now a team and need to care for those restrictions together, not split hairs about who pays for it.

Does your insurance cover food-costs for your stepdaughter? If her physician agrees that a special food product is required for your daughter, you can submit a claim through her health insurance to cover the costs. You can contact a vendor and provide them your insurance's billing information and have them billed directly, or you can pay for it then submit the paperwork for a refund after. You'd be surprised at what is actually covered by most health insurances.

You could buy special appliances just for SD that are only used to prepare her food then packed away, and they are not used in the same space as the other foods. They could be thoroughly cleaned before and after use to make diet-appropriate meal shakes at home. You can purchase powdered shakes, or make them yourself based on her caloric and dietary needs for the day.

Also, you can buy in bulk meal shakes for SD so she has something to fall back on. At first glance, these seems to fit her restrictions for $3 a meal, but you'd want to investigate further and see what other options are.

i was curious but https://www.amazon.com/CAVE-SHAKE-Chocolate-Ready-Drink/dp/B07G3KNCBP

I recommend these:

BM might not even care since it looks like a diet product. Really it's just a lot of protein and nutrition in a convenient chocolate drink.

My two year old is really picky and doesn't like really thick smoothies. He loves the strawberry flavor Kidzshake, which has lots of vitamins and probiotics and no sugar. We add it to whole milk and yogurt. FYI, the chocolate flavor is just ok, but the strawberry tastes like delicious melted ice cream.

There were some instant soups that were basically a mixture of a powder and water. A large, soft plastic package like a potato chip bag contained something like 18 or 36 of these smaller individual packets.

Each one was to be mixed in a hot coffee cups worth of water.

The appearance was a solid brown, and the main ingredient was some kind of nut or (maybe it was a grain actually) something, and it had an almost sweet, but nutty, nearly coffee like flavor to me.

I cant find it and was looking for anyone who might know what it was.

I got super close here. I think im angling in.

I couldnt exactly find what I was looking for, but it was amazing. It was black bean and multigrain, afaik, and it was very, very similar to what I have found, but it was another company, with more standard western type packets, such as the typical tea individual packet, stuffed inside the tear-open plastic envelope, with a portrait-style design like that tea pouch above.

I use keto shakes, and add a splash of heavy cream to give it more fat and flavor - believe it or not SlimFast has some delicious keto shake powder, I like cake batter

personally, and you can easily add 300 to 400 calories to your intake just sipping it over an hour.

I don't do IF, I eat a small breakfast but I'm so wired at work I often fail to eat, so I got a cheap shake-mixer bottle off Amazon for like $10, keto shake powder (1 month supply is $30) and heavy cream in the fridge. The cake batter flavor is pretty decadent with cream added and it has added vitamins and such so it's not just calories. I calculated the cost at about $1.50 per shake, and it's filling for a couple hours.

awesome! I think i'll go with this :) I see that there are premade packets and stuff I can buy versus starting from scratch too

Paleo Thin Protein Double... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBG8FZW?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Try this. Best I’ve found. It’s actually pretty good even with just water.

u/ketolent · 2 pointsr/u_ketolent

I can see why you might think that, but not the case. Our accounts on here are /u/ketosoy/ and /u/ketolent/

Some people are legitimately enthusiastic about the product. Other people... not so much.

https://www.amazon.com/Ketolent-Replacement-Optimized-Complete-Nutrition/dp/B01MUEGNMF is another place to look to get honest opinions.

The only Drink Original I could find was $34.

u/SirEDCaLot · 2 pointsr/SpaceXLounge

I doubt you're missing anything. The eBay dude probably buys the patches straight from the SpaceX store, and sells them on eBay for a nice markup.

We see the same thing in /r/soylent. Soylent is a meal in a bottle shake that sells direct from the manufacturer (or from Amazon) for about $34 per case of 12 bottles. People still resell it for $22 for 3 bottles. Note that on that second link, the product isn't sold by Amazon, it's sold by a 3rd party. The 3rd party just orders the first link, splits the 12-bottle case up into 4x 3-bottle packs, and sells the 3-packs individually, making $54 for each case they split and resell.

I have no idea why anyone would buy 3 bottles for $22 when you can buy 12 bottles for $34, but apparently some people do.

Quick question: Do you guys think this is the kind of oil that gives people the poops?

I've never used MCT or any other oil when making ketochow shakes and after getting a sample of ketolent, I decided to buy more. Should I prepare myself for epic farts or what?

u/mmortal03 · 1 pointr/soylent

Looks like they are: https://www.amazon.com/Soylent-Ready-Variety-Original-Nectar/dp/B01N4ILQ1A

Edit: It looks like that's not an official option, just a store doing it for a marked up price.

u/chet-rocket-steadman · 1 pointr/giantbomb

Have you looked at Soylent Meal Replacement Powder? It doesn’t taste that great but damn is it convenient and at $34 for 12 servings at 400 calories each, it’s fairly cost effective.

This reminded me that there was this Slim Fast shake I used to drink on my first successful round of keto years ago...

https://www.amazon.com/SlimFast-Advanced-Energy-Mocha-Cappuccino/dp/B01LX605CW?th=1

That shit was delicious... the packaging has changed so I worry that the formula has changed too. It didn't taste like a "diet" drink and I have a sweet tooth so I saved them for special occasions (like when I was dying for ice cream) and they came in real handy that way.

They had them at Walmart last I saw in person and sometimes you see them at Rite Aid in the diet/nutrition section but the selection is usually really small almost like they never buy much of those things.

By bad, yeah that product was bad, but there are other diabetic variants like this - https://www.amazon.com/Glucerna-Manage-Chocolate-Caramel-Packaging/dp/B00DVP2AQ8
