It's something to be worn underneath other clothes, like under armor.

The term you want to look for on amazon, or any other site is "chest protector paintball". That'll get you some results.

Of course, it'll never take the pain away 100%, it will help sting less - but those close ones, you'll probably still feel haha.

For the chest piece I was going to suggest using body armor for sports or paintball. something akin to this.

I just used this cheap $20 paintball chest protector off amazon and had my girlfriend paint on the skull with acrylic paint. I'm debating buying some black fabric and stitching it onto the front to match the textured look from the show.

I thought about getting the more expensive vests but decided agianst it. The trench coat hides most of the vest so all you really see is the skull.

I had this old JT paintball chest protector back when I played paintball. It was pretty thin so it could easily go over or under what you're wearing and since it was a neoprene type material it was pretty flexible, I don't have any pic of it, but if I find a link to one I'll edit this comment with the link in it.

I bought this - https://www.amazon.com/Valken-Impact-Chest-Protector/dp/B00C06GKN8 - a couple of years ago and love it. Not going to stop it from hurting if you get hit, but gives a least a little protection over your chest. Easy to move in too, and less noticeable than a catchers chest protector (around here - the more visible protection you have, the more likely some guys are to shoot middle). I cut the arms off of mine before I released they make sleeveless one's. Only downside is the extra unnecessary padding in the back - can get hot in the summer.
