I have a better trick for bobby pins - those magnetic paperclip holders. Just started using one of these for bobby pins and it is awesome!

Keeping it organized is kind of the opposite of the worst, it makes it so much easier to find things and see everything that I have.

I have a desk from Target with a large middle drawer, and I got clear drawer tray inserts and all my makeup is sorted in there, it's mostly flat so I can see pretty much all of it. I depotted almost all of my palettes and put them into z-palettes based on color and size, and now have 3 of those, and then some newer palettes I've bought or been gifted since then. I also have my larger products (bronzer, fake eyelash container, etc) on the side in front of my palettes.

I do have a lot of brushes, but I have two containers (one an old tea container, and the other an old candle) that I separated my eye and face brushes between. I also used a piece of a toilet paper tube and a small magnetic lidded container (kind of like this but taller?) to put mini sized brushes up higher so they wouldn't disappear.

I keep track of it by using it every day because it's fun and some nice me time in the morning before work, so I'm familiar with it.

These are pretty cute for pens/pencils/scissors/etc, and come in multiple colors!

This guy is also pretty neat for stickies and a pen to have on hand!
