I have no idea what the official name would be. I just know that that's how mom makes it sometimes.

I'll take a bowl of daal with spinach, add a little plain yogurt and a little pickle (www.amazon.com/Pataks-Mixed-Pickle-10oz/dp/B000JSQDVS/ref=sr_1_8), and I've got myself a great snack that reminds me of home. And it's pretty healthy.
