What the fuck. Hold on, and I'll find what I can.

Found a note on Wikipedia with it mentioning the PS2 version being quite common, but the PC version going for 100.

Found this for like $150: http://www.google.com/search?q=operation+genesis&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=YTyDVIWVNMe0ggSvu4KYDw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=360&bih=615#spd=1811856237573647818

Oh my god, I found this PS2 version for $325. http://www.google.com/search?q=operation+genesis&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=YTyDVIWVNMe0ggSvu4KYDw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=360&bih=615#spd=2763316397823647200

Here is one for $322: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000086JYK/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?pc_redir=T1

And heres the Ebay link, which seems little more reasonable.http://www.ebay.com/bhp/jurassic-park-operation-genesis-pc

Edit: If anyone has one and doesn't want it, or is selling it, PM. I have never played it. Doesn't matter which version. Shoot me a price, whatever. I just never knew about the game and am interested.

Need i go on? I think not. Obviously you cant wrap your small mind around these games that are worth more than you can clearly afford. Learn how to look up amazon prices you pleb. I buy everything off there, from my antifungal cream to my ritz crackers, so you know the prices are accurate. Enough with the lowball offers. Ill sell them to a serious buyer. /s

I'll address the pad differences first. While it's true that most soft pads are shit, red octane makes higher end soft pads, these ones use grid detectors similar to the ones found in hard pads. Detection on them was never a problem. Sliding however, was a problem. When playing dual pad, they would slide away from each other to the point that you wouldn't be able to finish a song. I fixed that by grabbing some zippers from a military surplus store and fixing the pads too each other. The larger surface area increased grip on the floor and stopped them from moving around mostly. We never had any issues with sliding after that.

As for stamina improvement, why is it so surprising that 2-4 hours of working out every day for 3 months can increase your movement that drastically? First time marathon runners will often do a 16 week training regimen before their first race. It's not uncommon at all for couch potatoes to go through this and find themselves able to run 26.2 miles at the end of it. I'd argue that a child whose body can heal faster could easily achieve similar results in 13 weeks with an increased regimen. Also though, you mentioned in a later post that you used the bar a lot to stabilize yourself - this reduces the total energy expended during a song. Using soft pads, we didn't have this bar, so we were forced to control our body weight (resulting in a harder workout). Also note that as a competitive player, your focus is on final score, which means you will approach the game trying to maximize the efficiency of your movements so as to hit every step. As kids, my brother and I tried to maximize the difficulty of songs we could simply pass. We would challenge each other to do the song at 2x speed, with increased jumps, even going so far as to modify the step files to add new moves into the song. Hopefully that will clarify some things for you, but feel free to argue any of these points. I'll always make time to validate my claims.

For some reason the building part of Dark Cloud 2 comes to mind.

Not only was I 250 when I started using it, the two I had were used by friends 4+ hours a day and for DDR club once a week with tons of people not being careful at all.

the one he linked seems to be about the same thing and certainly cheaper (2 for the price of one of mine basically) so I think that would be a good starting point for you.

It's still full price lmfao

You canimport it through Amazon, and there was someone who made a patch for it so you can play the game in English. In order to play it on a U.S. PS2, you'll have to softmod it.

u/Takenforganite · 2 pointsr/reddeadredemption

So if I bought because amazon recommended because i also enjoyed https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Horse-Adventures-Rescue-playstation-2/dp/B00009NH6E

Then all should be well?

Lucky for you, it exists! you only need a ps2 now

u/Col_JohnMatrix · 2 pointsr/nintendo

You should try DaiSenryaku 7 for PS2 or original XBOX. It's basically Advance Wars on steroids. This video doesn't show it, but you can rotate & scale the battlefield. It's all in 3D.

I have a bunch of old consoles/games but I'm no use to you in NI but if you would like to PM me your address, I will get this and a memory card, so he can have a brand new game from Santa

u/falconboom · 2 pointsr/gamingsuggestions

I would also recomend this. Sorry, I keep remembering more and more games I've seen that resemble what you want lol.

EDIT: Oh, and you could try Civilization V also. With a few mods you could lock it in the modern era and it basically becomes the kind of game you want.

Ok, I think I'm done now...

Do you also need the power cable? I believe the PS3 power cable will work. So will any Vizio TV power cord, as well as a few assorted electric razor cords, boombox cords, and some older printer/scanners. (This only applies to the fat models!)

As for the video cables... We need to know a little more about your TV. Does it only do composite (3 plugins) or will it also do component (5 plugins)? If it will do component, I'd go with those. It's a much clearer picture on modern flat screen TV's.

Composite cables (Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-2-Composite-AV-Cable-PlayStation2/dp/B00004U8QX

Component cables (Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/Component-V-Cable-Playstation-2/dp/B00005MDZD

Slim Power cord (Amazon, picked because of excellent reviews): https://www.amazon.com/Slim-AC-Adapter-Playstation-2-Pc/dp/B00255V7JQ

Right now you got $20 - $40 in that copy. Leave it alone and it will only go up.

You can get a used copy for like $6 easy.

It's already over twice its value from not being opened. Put it away in a box and forget you have it.

Hey Brace Face, you should get dark pink on the even teeth and light pink on the odd teeth for breast cancer awareness.

The Wal-Mart near my house still has a locked side cabinet full of PS2 Copies of the Mortal Kombat Kollection and only copies of that.

u/CrimsonQuill157 · 1 pointr/patientgamers

Thanks for the info. I know it's illegal - I'd only consider it on games like that where I'm not willing to pay $42 for a used game, which is why that piqued my interest.

u/strifeisback · 1 pointr/residentevil

SH1 for $26.70

u/squidthesid · 1 pointr/gameswap

Really? It goes for 20 used on Amazon. I'd say they're roughly the same price.

u/Shished · 1 pointr/gaming

PS2 games are still releasing.

In the absence of a functional Xbox emulator to play that port of Fatal Frame 2, you're going to be using PCSX2 to play the PS2 version. Good news is that Fatal Frame III got reprinted a little while ago (about a year and a half ago?) and is easy to pick up for about $25/new. The bad news is that Fatal Frame II sold out quicker and the price is floating back up. Chances are there isn't going to be another reprint, so you either snap it up now or you wait for it to get added to PSN (in which case you wouldn't be able to play it in PCSX2).

u/Musical_life · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

It's AR technically, but have you heard of Star Wars Jedi Challenges? You can totally already fight Darth Vader and Darth Maul. Makes for a great party game.

u/DrLeper · 1 pointr/silenthill

I think that's kind of an elitist attitude. Also keep in mind that the PS3 version has received a significant patch:

> It fixed a number of problems such as the frame rate and voice sync which were greatly improved. Missing sounds and music had also been fixed along with the fog density issues. Other minor visual/audio problems were also improved.

The HD version is definitely not the best version but there's nothing wrong with wanting to play it over a $60 copy of the ps2 version which would probably look terrible on an HD tv or monitor. These videos look pretty good.

u/Pikupstyks · 1 pointr/JRPG

I skipped over your traditional turn-based part of your post, sorry about that. That would eliminate these two as they are action based combat:(Play the first one first though if you want to give it a try.)

[Fatal Frame 1] (http://www.amazon.com/Fatal-Frame-Playstation-2/dp/B00005V9NH/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371343196&sr=8-1&keywords=fatal+frame) & [2] (http://www.amazon.com/Fatal-Frame-2-Playstation/dp/B0000AI1KK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1371343196&sr=8-3&keywords=fatal+frame) are pretty scary/creepy. You're literally in a haunted house/castle with nothing but a camera to defend yourself. Specific scares: The first Hanged Woman ghost startled me so bad, I had to take a break for a bit. The crawling child in the doll room is just gyuhhhh both in terms of scares and difficulty (and bonus gyuhh for "doll room") I liked the second game better, and there's a third I haven't played.

[Kuon] (http://www.amazon.com/Kuon-Playstation-2/dp/B00024W1TM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371343349&sr=8-1&keywords=kuon) is one that came in under the radar. Another haunting, though at least this character brings a bit more firepower than 35 mm film... Don't want to spoil too much, but the atmosphere and storyline have a really great creeping dread that gave me freaky dreams for MONTHS after.

u/phate24 · 1 pointr/gaming

I was just thinking about this game yesterday afternoon and thought I'd see if I could grab a PS2 version online. I hopped on Amazon to check the prices on it - shit's crazy.

I got both of the Saga DVDs used at a videogame/movie store for about $8 each.

Saga Vol. 1 is listed on Amazon for $30

Saga Vol. 2 on the other hand is is currently listed for about $5

u/GodDamnTheseVampires · 1 pointr/AskReddit

it was the packaging. I was on a Metal Gear Solid collecting quest in the run-up to MGS4. The seller made no mention of the water stained packaging and it was not visible on the picture. I got refunded, but the guy never gave me a way to send it back, so I ended up with an opened copy for free and bought a sealed copy way cheaper. win-win

While their metal pads are crap, I've never seen anyone specifically have problems with the foam pads. Mine is working great going on 6 years, with heavy use for 2 of those years. It's lasted longer than 2 previous Red Octane Ignition.

u/GamingCenterCX · 1 pointr/metalgearsolid
u/jbacon · 0 pointsr/DanceDanceRevolution

Check EBay/Craigslist for RedOctane pads. Still the best foam inserts, and newer ones have USB connectors. No idea whether that will work with the Wii or not, but the Wii does have USB ports...

If the RedOctanes are too pricey, then I'd go with something Konami branded. Those are generally of high quality.

My friends and I wear out pads too damn fast, and we've been unable to find RedOctanes lately, so we've taken to buying this set off Amazon and duct taping it over the RedOctanes. Works surprisingly well with some PS2-USB adapters and a custom AutoHotkey script to support more than two arrows at once. Obviously won't work for the Wii, though...

u/Gazorpozorpfield · -1 pointsr/xboxone

So now your contradicting yourself, based on an assumption. FIFA still comes out every year on the PS2, although it is generally also after the other launches. Pro Evolution Soccer as well. It's still developed for. The last game for the Xbox was released in late 2008 but the 360 was not next gen for 3 years. As soon as it comes out to the public, a console is current gen because it's on shelves. It's not in the future, as next implies.
