Mine adds three usb ports to the console that can actually be accessed (since it's impossible to plug 90% of anything into the ones on the console) and has sweet blue lights along the sides.

You can eliminate some cables by getting a stand and charger, less wires for the move controllers and controller

These are solid. I don’t know about the linked one specifically, but stands that charge controllers and offer a ventilation fan are excellent and not that expensive. Do some looking around and you can probably find one better and/or cheaper than the one linked. It keeps a lot of things easily managed which is nice. I’d recommend adding some shelves that can hold games if you do physical discs rather than digital purchases. As for the screen, if he plays with friends I strongly recommend getting a 27” that is not curved. If he plays by himself only on the console, 22-24” would be fine and curved or not would be based on your budget.

I've got this one. It seems to help some, but that's just anecdotal. I like the 4 docking/charging stations, but you do have to be careful with them because they're not super sturdy.

How about something like this for ps4

Or a Texas Roadhouse gift card

IMO this one is better. Costs a few more dollars but it has an additional USB port and can charge 4 controllers instead of 2.
