I have a Hori silicon cover and bought some Xbox One thumbsticks off ebay, cut the thumbstick tops off them and glued them to the top of some Bluecell thumbstick covers. The Xbox Thumbstick glued to the Bluecell one will look like this. You're going to want to dremel out a little under the XB1 thumbstick so the plastic Bluecell cover fits more flush in there and doesn't make the joysticks on the vita too tall because otherwise it'll interfere with the d-pad and buttons. Once you're done you snap the new covers on top of the Vita's joysticks and you're done! The end result looks like this.

The total "mod" took me about 15 minutes.

Literally the first thing that pops up on Amazon when you type "PS Vita Charger"

u/ZebraMuffin · 7 pointsr/vita

Would taking a 5 minute break every two hours not prevent this issue?

If that's not enough, there are grips you can get for the Vita, and I recently purchased these for my analog sticks. I'm not sure if they would help with grip for sweating, as I don't usually sweat when playing games.

That was part of an accessory set for the PsVita i had, using mounting putty to make it removable

they are not a perfect solution for the joy-cons, as the mounting putty loses its hold on it and can ghost diagonals if it does come loose, and the adhesive that does comes with it is rather thick, but it does fit perfectly in the shells. currently experimenting on making it work better

makes the feel 10x better :-)

You can buy one off of Amazon (ships from a seller in Japan), Play-Asia also has them in stock.

I ended up getting a Cyber Gadget brand stand off of eBay that charges both a Vita slim and PS4 controller for $50 with the world's slowest shipping cause I cheaped out on shipping.

u/Locke_N_Load · 3 pointsr/vita

I bought this and love it. The d pad is better and my analog sticks have the inward curve with the 4 dots for grip like the 360.

I bought everything off of amazon. as far as i can tell, only the memory card and the screen protector came from japan. However i got everything within a week with standard shipping. here's all the links for
thumbstick pads
Memory card
travel case
screen protector

I have the PDP Trigger Grips. Be warned, if you have a "full" screen protector (Static Cling or Water applied) it will scrunch it up unless you work really hard to either trim the water applied/static cling or some how mess with the Static Cling.

Some additional accessories that I find useful:

Of course, a travel case. Depending on your style pick a cloth or hard case. I personally like my official Sony Travel Pouch. It's soft and has lots of room for the Vita, headphones, extra games, and a cleaning cloth. Hard cases (Usually 3rd party) are pretty good depending which. I also have the DreamGear hard case as a more travel friendly when going to another person's house. My issue with it is that the case itself fits really snugly with the Vita where it can push on the Power button.

DreamGEAR 7 in 1 Starter Gear Hard Case (12.99 Free shipping with Prime or $25+)

You also want a back screen protector for the back touch panel alone. That thing is very prone to scratches.

---

Thumbstick grips are also very great for the extra grip you want. Sadly, the one I have is discontinued. So I can't really recommend a product I haven't used.

Bluecell Thumb Grips

You can certainly find others. Just read reviews. Be a smart consumer!

A great pair of headphones is a must if you travel a bit. I would wholeheartly recommend the official Sony Vita headphones. Great sound and cheap. Has a built in Mic but I'm not sure how good that is.

A handy 2A-2.1A outlet USB charger with a spare USB Vita Cable is always nice to have around traveling.

Please Note: When purchasing additional back up battery packs or charging outlet thingies. Make sure it's 2A to 2.1A (2,000 mA to 21000 mA. not mAh**) output. The vita needs at least 1.5A output to be charged while playing or 1A while off (Very slow).

I've been using this but it's been sold out apparently since I purchased it. The 3-4 ring grip is extremely helpful with gripping.

The ones you linked, I can't even tell what shape they are unless it's a smooth grip since the picture quality isn't great. If you do have them please take pictures.

I've been using these for some time now. They don't add a ton of size but give me extra control for sure. I only used the square-ish shaped ones and the ones with the raised/pointed directions. Love em. I have both the silicone and hard plastic variants and find the silicone to give a better grip feel on the thumbs. Was considering the Xbone thumb stick covers, but they wouldn't be compatible with my case and would hinder portability. Hope this helps.

u/doctortofu · 1 pointr/vita

If you're importing, I'd recommend this grip instead (link to Amazon Japan) - I have it and one thing I love about it is that it neatly frames the back touchpad, so when you use remote play for example it's much easier to get the feel for where to tap - you just rest your fingers on the edge of the frame and very slightly move them in when needed. You can see what I'm taking about on the picture that shows the backside - it's the only grip that does it I've seen.

u/Gomerpyle80 · 1 pointr/DestinyTheGame

Have you tested remote play over the internet yet? Some people don't realize the upload speed required. (at least 2mb/s upload is OK, 5mb/s is recommended i guess)

To run you press the down arrow ..

Otherwise - I use mine all the time.. and honestly the only issue is with aiming. The analog sticks are not nearly as good as the dualshock 4. I added a grip to mine shortly after I got it which helps and there are some analog grips you can try that might help.

Also the sound can get out of sync pretty easy..

u/SprXXor · 1 pointr/vita

I'm not knowledgeable on the product, but from what I deduced from the reviews, it seems you do need to use the original Vita cable. You can get a cheap one from here but I cannot comment on it's quality. If you want to be safe, this one is the cable that Sony sells.

u/Mr_Masterman · 1 pointr/vita

I don't know about getting the marks out, but you could always invest in some grips to put on the thumbsticks like [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Bluecell-Control-Controller-Joystick-Playstation-Vita/dp/B00G3TV6Q4/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1414085075&sr=1-1&keywords=bluecell+vita). I use them myself and they're actually pretty nice.

u/clee290 · 1 pointr/vita

Depends which ones you buy, I guess. There are these ones which are plastic and these ones which are silicone.

u/Rustyhole · 1 pointr/vita

I used to use the pdp grip but now I use these.
It feels more comfortable in my hands but it sets weird on the ground.

For a game like SS I highly recommend picking up some stick covers, the concave covers really make a difference.

u/Markbro89 · 1 pointr/vita

Just buy a pair of sticks from ebay and bluecell vita caps from amazon. Cut and glue. I sell them on ebay since I got so many requests but you can make them yourself too.

u/UnstableMonkey · 1 pointr/vita

This is where I got my hard caps

Im not sure if they ship international though as this is the US Amazon site

u/jarodwr · 1 pointr/vita

http://www.amazon.com/Bluecell-Control-Controller-Joystick-Playstation-Vita/dp/B007IDIXBK

Get these, sand down he surface to bind them to the caps and you'll have your own pair of removable thumbsticks (this is what I did).
