They were cheap $20 Amazon sliders. Motorcycle No Cut Frame Slider Protector For 2007 2008 Kawasaki Ninja Zx-6R Zx6R Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RUELFG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_GH2LzbBY2GKYM

Mounting sliders on the front bolt is not a good idea as it is only connected to a lose spacer and the cylinder head. So the frame is more prone to being twisted than using the center bolt right behind it and you may dislodge or destroy your cylinder head as well.

In the forums the most recommended sliders are Moto Sliders and they use that center bolt, which connects both sliders since the bolt is a long steel rod with a nut. This frame bolt is also torqued much higher (67.5 lb-ft) than the other bolts (40 lb-ft), which tells you that it's a more sturdy section of the frame.
I would return the ones you have and either get the Moto Sliders from SV Racing Parts for $70 or get the cheapo knock-offs like I did from Krator for $20. I really can't tell if the steel rod and plastic sliders of the Moto Sliders are worth the $50 difference.

Installation is easy with the right tools. You will need 2 sockets and 2 extensions to get the 3 inches inside the slider when torquing it up. Please use a torque wrench and don't do a hack job. Harbor Freight tools are cheap and good enough for the hobby mechanic. Loctite is pretty much useless at higher torque values, it's only meant to keep lightly torqued screws in place in areas that are exposed to high vibration.
The engine will not "fall out" if you don't torque them up correctly, but in the event of a crash, I assume the relatively loose sliders will have more momentum to damage your frame.

It is showing as unavailable on Amazon US. But you can check on other sites or give T-Rex a call directly.

Good luck!

The prices all vary and there's PLENTY of options elsewhere. I just happened to get these over time. I also bought an engine guard/cage on Amazon but never could get it to fit properly.

Frame sliders.

I have never purchased any, but Im considering it now. They seem to range wildly in price. Some are delrin tipped, some metal. From $230 down to $60 and even some in between.

Why would I buy one over the other?
