Guess this is the perfect time to remind everyone that the series is getting an English release. The first volume comes out next month and it seems it will be a new volume every 2 months so the whole series should be out in 2 years.

Also I highly recommend checking out the anime. The final episode comes out next Thursday so this is the perfect time to marathon it :3.

It's up for pre-order, it will be released in december: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1974704890/

If you just googled it, you would find this information.

Doubtful. Marvel is too desperate to expand their market share in this area, and sure why not? What business wouldn't? And I even agree with them, 50% of the population is women so they are in essence missing out on a huge market that doesn't spend nearly as much money on their products as men do.

The problem however is that Marvel only really has one product - Superheroes and they seem to think that the way to market this to women is just by presenting them with a Superhero that has boobs and calling it a day, even if that Superhero is totally unlikable and unpalatable to the target demographic they are courting.

Let me put the problem another way to help people understand:

"How do you sell country music albums to hip hop fans?"

The answer is: You don't, you sell them hip hop albums.

The most popular literary genres for women are something like, Romance/Erotica, Mystery, Cooking and Health. You might say, "Well, shit. I get romance and mystery, but how do you make a comic about cooking?"

Easy, like this or this or this or this or this or this

I picked mostly 少女 (girl) manga to demonstrate a point - Japan actually has a pretty freaking healthy comic (manga) industry because they publish a much wider variety of genres. It's slightly grown over the last few years and it's made the transition from print to digital at a rate that should make western publishers ashamed. In fact, while groups like Marvel struggle to get their digital revenue up past 20% of their brick and mortar sales, by sometime next year digital sales will probably pass print sales in Japan.

Anyway, who knows? Maybe Akira Yoshida-san will venture into this territory. I kind of hope he does. I think Marvel should launch a new imprint or two and bring back the genres that the CCA killed in the 50's. It seems like a much more sane prospect to me than banking their entire effort at attracting a female audience on running the same few characters through a personality meat grinder until they find one that might have some sort of appeal.

The new version of The Ravens of Thrii Sahashri was released like... three days ago. And it's gonna be cheap as well, I believe.

Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/Ravens-Thri-Sahashri-cooperative-players/dp/147281634X/

It's being released in English by Viz. You can buy volume 6 in November and it will continue every few months after that.

Sasameki Koto is pretty decent (the ending is little rushed). I recommend you avoid Aoi Hana, since the ending is sort of terrible.

Some other titles I've read and enjoyed:

Voiceful

Sorairo Girlfriend

Sisterism

Kono Negai ga Kanau nara

Husky and Medley

Hoshikawa Ginza Yonchoume

Kashimashi

Tokimeki Mononoke Jogakkou

Eh, it's so-so. I see it at my local SA store all the time for less than $1.

One time I picked up Volume 1 of Love Hina and the lady at the counter wouldn't sell it to me because it's "an adult book." Lady, I'm in my 30s and the BS warning on the back says 13+. I think I'm okay. :)

I kind of remember it adapts until volume 6, and continues in Volume 7 with a school trip
