Oh man, you know what makes an amazing italian sandwich? This stuff. No sugar, 1 tbsp is 1g net carb. It’s so damn good, I used to love it on sandwiches. Your post reminded me how awesome it is, I might need to go pick some up and add it to your recipe. Thanks for posting!

God, I miss this stuff! The Country French one was the bomb! They still sell it in the UK... one day, I'm going to pay waaaay too much money for a bottle of that shit! 😹

Biscoff Spread is the most amazing thing in the history of the universe! I splooshed when I found out there was a crunchy kind as well as smooth.

In Serbia it's not customary to exchange gifts for Xmas, also if she is Orthodox, the Xmas is on January 7th.

Smoki is a type of snack with peanut butter that's quite popular.

Jaffa Cakes (most popular ones are from Crvenka, but Milka makes them too)

Munchmallow Classic (because of poor packaging these have a habit of not being fresh when you buy them)

Eurocrem (a nutella like spread)

I am not.

Mcdonalds has been selling their sauces for some time now.

It's legit big mac sauce from the mcdonalds corporation.
I live in Canada if that makes a difference.

Sold out on amazon right now, but they have a spot on the shelf in most grocery chains in western canada.

Hummus is a great idea and it'd make the sandwich more filling, too. Other ideas:

  • add sriracha and a bit of lime juice to the mayo.
  • Giardiniera, which is usually a spicy mix of pickled vegetables, sport peppers and olives. The finely chopped kind would work better for sandwiches.
  • muffaletta spread, which is similar but more olives and usually not spicy
  • Italian dressing (or just a mix of red wine vinegar and olive oil, like they use at Subway)
  • I think it's more of an east coast thing, but sub places put a spread of crushed red peppers on their subs that adds a lot of zing. Something like this.

  • weet bix is on same-day amazon prime.
  • Fountain sauce is also on amazon but look for the prime one so you can return it without hassle if its expired.
  • Socal has a few IGA's but don't expect to find the black and gold brands there.
  • Turkish delight - thanks for making me miss it. Well there goes 7 bucks.

Bronzed aussie sells lamingtons, frozen meat pies, and I think frozen sausage rolls too.

You can literally buy McDonald's branded Big-Mac sauce. You can also find it in a lot of grocery stores.

I've become a big fan of Cookie Butter. They do have one with "Nutella" but that one is not as good as real Nutella.

Except you said she doesn't like liquorice? One of the main ingredients of Negro bonbons is lakric (syrup of the sladić plant/liquorice plant). I had to google these things to make sure, so that's why the links, if somebody knows better. edit:yup it's liquorice just click on the ENG in the upper-right corner on the first link in my comment.

Then again I've never had actual "liquorice" so I don't know how similar in taste it is to Negro bonbons and whether she'd (does) like them. Negro is only part liquorice, it's also mint and honey and stuff.

Looking around there maybe get her one of these other things (personally I like the "Hazelnut toffee")? Or kidy chocobars.

Speaking of the more popular domestic stuff personally I'd recommend medeno srce (honey hearts), they're like little heart-shaped cake-cookies. Or Plazma, or Smoki (check my name), Jaffa Cakes, Eurocrem, Eurocrem bar, Čokoladne bananice, Domacica, or anything from Stark or Pionir.

Not Serbian but popular stuff are stuff like Milka, or the usual Mars, Twix whatnot.

Damn, I'm hungry now.

All the major grocery stores where I live in Canada have it.

Edit: Turns out it's only available in Canada.

u/monkeyfett8 · 2 pointsr/Cooking

You can get it in the US and elsewhere as this. I've gotten it from Kroger before. I forget what section though. I guess with pickles and canned sausages and stuff. Apparently amazon has it. Also in incredibly large quantities, hehe.

It's a supreme gift from the gods. My family has always tried to have it around for arepas. This is Venezuelan style arepas mind you, so if you're doing something different your experience may vary.

speculoos cookie butter is essentially a spread made from crushed gingerbread-like cookies and a binding agent like vegetable oil. If that sounds tasty to you (obviously it will, it's spice cookies in butter form) then how good is amazon at shipping stuff to you?

u/pease_pudding · 2 pointsr/mildlyinteresting

It's a little like peanut butter, but has no nuts and instead tastes of cookies.

https://www.amazon.com/Speculoos-Cookie-Butter-14-1-Jar/dp/B010RP7QWM

I thought it tasted like gingerbread cookies, but the ingredients doesn't list ginger, so now I'm not sure. All I know is its awesome (sadly cant get it here in UK).

u/TheFAPnetwork · 2 pointsr/philadelphia

Hoagie oil has vinegar and other spices. I know most major grocery stores sell it in the deli section

I'm real confused. You seem to be right but at the same time but from what I can find this was supposed to be a 10000-bottle giveaway thing and people are re-selling numbered bottles for $50 to $150 on eBay.

Are they selling the same sauce they gave away here in Canada? Is it the same thing?

I've never cared this much about McDonald's sauce before.

u/pleasedothenerdful · 2 pointsr/mildlyinfuriating

Trader Joe's Nutella/Cookiebutter blend is where it is actually at my d-man. The jar is empty by the end of the day you open it.

u/KaneHau · 1 pointr/Cooking

Nutella is close and every grocery has that.

But you can buy real Eurocrem from Amazon

u/CarlosFiesta · 1 pointr/ketorecipes

Just add actual Cookie Butter.

u/dieselstation · 1 pointr/vaporents

it's like peanut butter, but made with cookies and tastes 1000x better.

Same here. I was always more of a coffee guy but could never really get in the mood for one after work unless I was in just the right mood, even decaff didn't really work for me. My favourite right now is Lemon, Ginger & Manuka Honey and it's made by Pukka. I don't know if they operate in the states (just guessing you're from the US) but if not I'm sure someone else will do something similar. Also, the Amazon price is more than double the store price, I'm sure I paid no more than five pounds for a box. I'd also recommend something like a Twinings Chai, it's spicy in a gingerbread man way rather than a hot wings way.

Those are just my tastes though, a lot of companies do taster boxes where you get a single bag of a bunch of flavours. These are great because a lot of herbal teas can taste like boiled twigs, this way you can find a flavour you like rather than throwing five bucks at a box of peppermint tea that will stay in the cupboard forever.
