Improving your posture is always a good thing to do! You could look into getting something like this:

Equifit ShouldersBack

That specific one is marketed to equestrians (who are constantly told by their trainers "Shoulders Back!") but they all tend to work the same.

Here is the brace I got: amazon link

This is kind of an obscure product but I would recommend the EquiFit Shoulders Back Lite. I'm an equestrian and bought this for riding - I actually prefer just wearing it when I'm working on my computer at home. I haven't tried many other posture devices but this is rather comfortable, imo.

I’m currently trying Spartan brand tape. So far, it sticks really well.

I haven’t tried this trick but an EDSer told my geneticist that they paint a thin layer of pepto on their skin and let it dry before putting on tape and it helps protect their skin when they remove it. My skin gets a bit ripped up if I’m careless when removing tape, sometimes it doesn’t matter how careful I am. Putting coconut oil on the tape and waiting several minutes before removing it has helped when I’ve been particularly sensitive. If anyone has tried the pepto trick, I’m curious if it works without interfering with the adhesive.

I have bilateral multi directional instability (forward and down are worse than backwards) in my shoulders. PT, strengthening, and general positional awareness have helped for when I’m conscious but I sublux and dislocate in my sleep often. I just sent back a shoulder brace that looked promising but turned out to be entirely useless for what I needed. I’d like to try this brace by Bauerfeind but have to find out if my insurance would cover it. I’m wary of even going through the hassle of trying to find a braces that offer support without restricting all movement and are considered “durable medical equipment.” My PT thinks something designed for posture correction might possibly be helpful, so that’s the next plan. I need something that pulls my shoulders back into the sockets and prevents my scapulas from winging.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edited to add links. Also, a shoulder surgeon told me to try a sully brace for my shoulders but boobs.

That one I found on Amazon for about $15. There might be some for cheaper elsewhere; there were a lot of them flying around.

I used to use an EVS shoulder brace before shoulder surgery.

I wonder if this, or similar, would make a good base upon which to create an attachment? The only bummer is the neoprene does stretch out after regular heavy use (duh).
