Depends on the type of pizza cutter. The little circular one? Yeah, not so useful. A rocker knife? That might work.

I sometimes use one of these. Works nicely and you feel like a boss when using it.

As mentioned, it's an escape/rescue knife. There's a "window breaker" point on the butt, serrations for sawing through laminated glass (i.e. vehicle window), and the fish-hook looking thing is a strap (seatbelt) cutter. Not much in the way of a straight non-serrated blade on the thing as far as I can see.

As a survival knife, it's probably better than nothing; it doesn't look overly functional for a lot of "survival" activities, but it might just get you or someone you love out of that wrecked vehicle so that you have the chance to spend a few days surviving in the woods/jungle/arctic before being rescued.

My guess is that calling it a "survival knife" is designed to grab ebay search results. Expensive piece of hardware to say the least.

EDIT: Grab this one instead, and send me half the difference in price as a finder's fee:

(added bonus of "tough guy" slogan on the blade)

This is my one knife. I also have something that resembles a paring knife, but it's about 5" and serrated on the end. Just about useless, but good for the less glamorous tasks. You know, the stuff that you probably shouldn't use a knife for but it's your best option regardless.

On a side note, anyone that hasn't had the double chicken chopped salad yet, please try it. Something about the banana peppers and tomatoes makes you not even need dressing (the healthy salad killer). I may get one of those chopping tools for the house. Found one

That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Companies keep making useless shit b/c people will throw money at it (not you OP, you said it came w/ some other stuff). Why not just use a damn alpine draw like a normal person? Same goes to specialized personal anchors - when was the last time you saw a professional climber using a PAS?

Edit: Looks like I found a fairly unpopular opinion. I personally am the type of climber that brings the bare minimum when I climb. If I have something on my harness that can have multiple uses, I will use that instead of bringing something extra. Analogy: why would I use a contrived tomato scoop when I can use my damn knife?
