No. They're your typical Pakistani gi, you're just paying extra for a brand.

A $100~ 93 Brand has a similar cut and equal built quality. If you buy it from RollMore you get their insane return policy (return it even if you've rolled in it and/or washed it).

If you're just looking for a solid gi at good price then the Elite Sports gis (both the essential and standard are the same, just different patching) are identical in cut to Venum gis and the one I have has held up very well. They come in quite a few colors as well.

I use this: https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-MMA-Athletic-Protector-Compression/dp/B07CHC2BFM

Probably the only one in the gym using a cup... Not that I give a fuckaroni...

I have a plain white gi from an Amazon brand called Your Jiu Jitsu Gear that’s TBH one of my favorite gis, the same one comes in black: https://www.amazon.com/Your-Jiu-Jitsu-Gear-Brazilian/dp/B00890OFL8

Here's one--Hawk Gi

I'm partial to the Hayabusa Goorudo 3.0 Gold Weave

These are very solid and inexpensive. I wouldn’t break the bank on Gis they will just get torn up and stinky.

I bought a 250$ origin Gi and I like Fuji and these more lol

u/PessimiStick · 2 pointsr/bjj

It's not Fuji, it's clearly this.

I'm intrigued though, built in rashguard and pretty cheap? I'll buy one for my next daily and try it out.

This one has been by far one of the best gi's I've owned, and it was the 2nd one I got after the cheap one they sold me at my school when I first signed up. The black one looks badass ;)

I'm not a big fan of Vector gis. It was my first gi and it ripped after only two months of rolling 2-3 times a week.

Check out Elite Sports child gis on amazon. Much better quality and a lot more durable and they're pretty damn affordable at $50.

FYI I'm 5'6" and 150lbs and got the W3, even though the size chart technically had me at W4: https://www.amazon.com/Sanabul-Womens-Brazilian-Jitsu-White/dp/B07DK3KQ6Q/

I am 5' 9'' and about 167 pounds. I bought this gi from Amazon and it's a perfect fit. I liked it (price and quality) I bought another one. I have the blue one and the white/blue stitching one. I like the white more.

I love my Valor Bravura - only $85. It's very lightweight but is holding up great. A Fuji All-Around only costs about $15 more and it's significantly thicker.

Also, this Maeda Gakusei is on a BIG sale right now. I just bought mine over the weekend with the July 4th discount code and I can't wait for it to get here!

Try this, I have the white, seems ok. Your Jiu Jitsu Gear Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Uniform Black A3 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00890OFL8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_ZuAFxbHP3HQD1

Oh that’s awesome, I’m so glad to hear you started! I’m about 6’ tall, so I don’t think that the gi I had in mind would fit you. :/ I’m still happy to send it if you want to try, I just don’t anticipate it being a good fit. But a couple suggestions - if you already know your training partners well enough to feel comfortable, ask if anyone has an old gi you can borrow/buy on the cheap - a lot of jiu jitsu practitioners have a bunch if gis collecting dust in their closets. Another option is this cheap gi in amazon that comes with a white belt: https://www.amazon.com/Brazilian-Jiu-Jitsu-Uniform-Preshrunk/dp/B07CZSDTWJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?keywords=bjj%2Bgi&qid=1556023731&s=gateway&sr=8-6&th=1&psc=1
I can’t speak to the quality of it, but $40 including a belt is hard to beat.

that has good reviews

https://smile.amazon.com/Ronin-Brand-Black-Ju-Jitsu-Uniform/dp/B07BNZ543V/

This one is more judo gi heavy. And I can tell you that those tags on the bottom come off easily. different brand in white, I just took some scissors and tore mine off, and then the little pieces fell right off without any difficulty.

u/ClRE · 1 pointr/bjj

Looking for a new gi. Anyone have any input on this hayabusa?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JV46JC/ref=twister_B073JVPQM9

Thinking grey or black.

Also, how do you guys get sweat stains out of a white gi? I wash my gi immediately after every class but that doesn't help the sweat stains on the neck. I hear baking soda and vinegar is good.

u/uglydonuts · 1 pointr/bjj

So if you are willing to drop $25 more, I'd recommend buying this [one.] (https://www.amazon.com/Brand-Weight-Starter-Bundle-Traininig/dp/B072HFXWPX/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1549502373&sr=8-4&keywords=bjj+bundle)

I personally own it and it is amazing. You might need to do some shrinking once you get it but after that, it's a great Gi. The pros of it are: lightweight, color variation, blank/no branding, trusted brand (the gi is otm and they've been around a while and are trusted) also you get a couple dvd's and a free belt. Also because it's light weight, it will air dry overnight and be ready by the next day. If you end up needing to shrink your gi to the max, like I did, you can keep throwing it in the dryer afterwards and not even have to worry about air-drying.
