Hope that helps haha.
This isn’t necessarily a difficult piece to recover, but there are a few things to keep in mind if you decide to try to tackle it yourself. I would suggest:
4.when you come to legs or arm rests you may have to snip the fabric and fold it under a bit to get it to go around areas like that. Just snip carefully and make small cuts to start. You can always make the cuts bigger if you need to until it looks right.
Good luck! If you have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask :)

If you're going to get a lifter style one, I would recommend the Bostitch one over the Swingliner. There were a few of both type at a print shop I worked at and I found they worked much better.
It’s a staple remover. It’s similar to this one. Here’s a nice video explaining how to use one.
If you have bulletin boards, you could get one of these staple pullers for exactly $5. I guess even if you don't have bulletin boards, you could still get one and then just have it around to offer to coworkers who might need one, or straight up give it to someone. I've been longing for one of these for years, but never really remembered to buy one of my own. They're amazing and very useful!

Do these work? Did for me in my tedious paper jobs in the 90's.
Staple lifter. Also good for some tacks.
On amazon.
I bought a stable removal kit at the drug store, like specially designed pliers.
He was fine, didn't barely even flinch. The only time I would bother getting a doctor to remove sutures, staples, even a cast, is if there was persistent redness or other signs of infection.
I just finished my hardwood floors (675sqft), I used this tool. It was only $12 and it made the job super easy because that's exactly what it was designed for. There are a million things about the project I would have done differently but buying that baby is the one thing I'd do again every time.

A couple of things to think of-I’ll add more as I think of them.
You may get it to work for a while, but it’s hard on the machine.
That said there’s a lot of upholstery you can do with no sewing. If that’s the case, have at it!

Found out how much it cost to get the staples removed from my head. Said "fuck it" and removed them myself.
Though (and this will probably de-legitimize my tough-guy claim) I used this. Costs a few dollars and is pretty painless.
I think you might be better off looking for another one with a similar mechanism. E.g. https://www.google.com/search?q=push+staple+remover

Got to get the matching set. Dragons get lonely, don't you know?
All of which is the next best thing in desk decoration couture of course! Thanks for the contest, and good luck in your new job!
