Looks like a top loading cd player, kinda like this

> when they could have just bought M50x for 150 and used it with their computer’s built in DAC.

That's ridiculous. I'm not going to push a DAC amp, but the sound you get from plugging a pair of M50x into even a cheap stereo like this one doesn't even compare to utilizing your computer's built in DAC. Just plugging it into your computer would be a waste of $150. I have a hard time believing you work in audio if that's your opinion, unless working in audio means working at bestbuy.

Warning: Foul Language Ahead!

Yes. This was Fall of last year, and I don't recall exactly what the issue was, but I think the gist of it was that images and text I tried to use on our listing weren't propagating live. There were/are other sellers selling knockoffs I think that had made some changes to the listing (I really don't understand how it works, but I guess a 'product' is very difficult to actually 'own' even if you FUCKING OWN IT) which were really poor, but those were the features and images showing up on the actual live public listing.

Again, nightmare. Cannot believe how difficult it was to get NOTHING done. Every agent clearly just wanted the ticket to be done with.

I actually researched how to do this beforehand, and advice I got here on reddit boiled down to "put it in terms that will benefit amazon as well, if you can."

So initially I was really polite and nice and said, and part of my request was pointing out how an improved listing for this product would result in more sales, which would be good for both (client) and Amazon. It was only (weeks! of runaround) later that I let some of my impatience show and requested supervisors / etc.

Some of the problems with their system:

  • If you own a product, like trademark and all, you pay to have it manufactured or make it yourself, you can't just create a really nice listing like the big corporate products. http://www.amazon.com/Bose-Wave%C2%AE-Music-System-III/dp/B007ZC99Q2 Scroll down to the huge information section lower down the page. You can't !@#$!@#$@!#$ DO THAT YOURSELF.

  • Seller Support agents can't open zip files. If you attach a zip file with 9 of your awesome product shots that follow their guidelines (at least one dimension greater than 1000 pixels, right? I forget.) they can't do shit with it.

  • You host said zip file, and the individual images somewhere, still can't do it. Or won't. I wasn't clear. DIDN'T is accurate though. Fuckers.

  • You can't attach more than (stupidly small) number of files. Four? Six? It's not enough.

  • You can't include your own html in the edit-it-yourself area, so you have to ask seller support. LOL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT SHIT. They will ignore formatting forty-leven times until you finally give up in disgust with a broken listing, which is what they want in the first place. Not the broken listing part, but for you to stop bothering them.

Nightmare. Hands down the absolute worst customer service experience of my entire life.

Hi,

Me and my wife are undecided between a Sony CMT-X3CD ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-CMT-X3CD-Bluetooth-Hi-Fi-System/dp/B00MZT50BI/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=sony%2Bcmtx3&qid=1573051029&sr=8-2&th=1) and the Yamaha MCR-b20 ( https://www.amazon.es/Yamaha-Elektronik-Europa-MCR-B020-Sistema-microcomponentes/dp/B01AUXDDTQ/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_es_ES=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=yamaha+hifi&qid=1573051087&sr=8-4 )

I got a 200€ gift card from my company, and this is what they have in store in that prince. It will mostly be to play CDs in our living room.

Any advice?

You don't really need a "charging dock", you can just buy any Bluetooth-enabled compact stereo system (or any high-quality Bluetooth speaker) and a (separate) wireless charging pad. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-TSX-B72DR-Desktop-Audio-System/dp/B00GMGBA7I/

Just place wireless charging pad (or vertical stand - whatever you prefer) on top of it (or next to it if you have space) and you're all set. No need to physically abuse poor USB connector on your phone each time you need to charge it.

The MDRs, they have the option to enable the bass boost while running via Bluetooth, not wired though. If you love bass as I do you will love them! Is like having a subwoofer in your ears. I love them!

Looking for a cheap shelf top stereo system to replace my grandmother's that finally kicked the bucket. Nothing fancy, doesn't need big speakers, just needs to be able to play her old cd's for the holidays. Hoping to find something $50-$75 because my grandparents will barely use it outside of holidays when people come over.

Considering something like this just because of the price but I don't want to get her something too cheap. Honestly if I could just find the stereo/cd player without the speakers for a reasonable price that would be amazing because then I could just go get some JBLs or those $40 monoprice ones and cut the wire myself giving her some actually decent speakers for the price everyone else is charging.

I've also seen this Insiginia system, I know bestbuys house brand which typically means shit, but it has some decent reviews. More than I want to spend but for a simple AiO system I could just grab and go with it would be nice.

So yeah let me see what you guys can find/suggest, I figured this would be way quicker and cheaper than it is turning out to be when she first told me about it but everything now is all about the connectivity/iPhones and it's just way more than she needs.

edit - forgot to mention this philips one I had open in another tab; seems like my best bet so far

There is NO way that thing is even 100 watts. According to Amazon reviews, the woofers are stamped as 40w each.

You'd need a pair of these to get 1000w.

However if you're in the market, the Sharp GX-M10 is currently the most powerful portable system money can buy (100w RMS).

Alright, I am looking for a 30 pin to Bluetooth device, something that will give me decent playback but won't break the bank. I am willing to spend up to $40 on it and I know nothing about the subject so I'm just looking for some suggestions. I will primarily be using it on my Sony portable party system. I was stupid and at the time didn't get the version with bluetooth already in it. So can you help me out?

I'd highly recommend this Sony system for speakers. I've had the older version of it for two years and it works great. Its absolutely phenomenal at the price. I'm handing it off to my sister for her to use next year (I'm upgrading to a full sized stereo now that I'm no longer in a dorm)

This may be more than you're looking for, but I have this, use it daily, and the timer functions exactly the way you're looking for:

Sony undercabinet cd/radio/mp3 player

The right hand knob, visible in the first product image, is the volume control. On the opposite front corner is a knob that feels a little segmented when you turn it, which corresponds to the minutes that the LCD immediately starts showing. Then you press the knob in to start the timer, and once it starts beeping you need to push the knob in again to stop it.

Issues with it are that it only sets timers for whole minutes. The other day I set it for 120 minutes when I was roasting tomatoes, and didn't want to dig through the drawers for the timer with an hour hand. And for my aeropress coffee I use a timer with a memory button set to 90 seconds. I'd love it if I could just use the undercabinet timer instead.

I have a Canon rebel Eos K2. It is a film camera with a Quantaray tele-micro 70-300mm lens along with a the lens that came with the camera. I also have two light filters for the lenses and a carrying case. http://www.tristatecamera.com/lookat.php?refid=279&sku=CANERK2K (picture of the same camera I have along with the lens it came with). The camera and lenses are in great condition.

I also have a red Murray road bike from the 1930's that is in good condition.

Last but not least I have a Emerson record/cd/tape/radio player that is also in great condition. http://www.amazon.com/Emerson-Heritage-Turntable-Player-Radio/dp/B0011DPPT6 -same one I have

Anyone interested?

My left speaker is currently pooping out on me, so I'd like to find something to replace my computer audio system. I've been using the TEAC MC-DX32i for what seems to be the better part of a decade, and I've enjoyed it quite a bit for what it is. It has a really nice interface to switch between cd, speakers, and headphones, so I'd like to find something similar to it. Unfortunately, I'll be going to college in the fall, so I won't have the most amount of money to spend nor can I spare a lot of desk space (subwoofer is not a priority). I have a vague sense that I should be looking for monitors and an audio interface, but beyond that, I am so overwhelmed with information I don't know what to do. Any advice as to what I should be looking for is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Don't know what to search for. I'm completely new to this and I'm having a hard time finding what I want because I don't know what it's called.

I'm in the market for a high-end stand-alone all-in-one wireless "stereo" (?). I want to be able to play music from my computer (located elsewhere in my home) via wifi?, bluetooth?, and at the very least, aux from a cell phone/tablet. I would prefer if the entire unit was one piece with only one wire for plugin. Doesn't have to play CDs. Something that looks really cool would be a definite bonus. Cool ambient light and/or glass/metal preferable. Budget: no more than ~$1,500.00.

What is what I'm looking for called? If I knew what these were called I'm sure I could do more research for myself. Searching for bookshelf stereos has been fruitless. Most of them have detachable speakers, and are generally too highschool for my tastes. I want something that will look super slick on a bookshelf in a classy sitting room. But I also want it to be functional with minimal wires.

Maybe this isn't the place to post this, but the audio quality isn't all that important to me (though I expect if I'm paying a significant amount that the quality is at least passable). Looks/functionality more important.

What should I be looking for? Recommendations? Cheers!!

Something like these: What are these called?

Actually, that Polk from the third link looks about perfect. What are these things called and can anyone recommend a super nice one? Cheers!
