I have wrist problems as well, so I use thing like these to do my pushups, it's a lot better for the wrists since you don't have to bend them: https://www.amazon.com/Elite-Sportz-Comfortable-Rotating-Pushups/dp/B00S29WN3S

These are on sale right now: http://www.amazon.com/KAZE-SPORTS-Pair-Push-Bars/dp/B00AN8OP6O/ref=pd_sim_200_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=41%2Bo8z53EWL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1V88QD7MGFVF5P1TZ3KB
There's nothing cheap about that setup. By the time you buy all the nipples, couplings, and fittings you could probably buy a better one at the local sports store.
I prefer the ones with the brackets that you screw inside the door opening. They're a lot safer IMO. I've used the same one since the early 1980s that I got with a pair of inversion boots and it's still in good shape. I have replaced the screws, though, because after moving a few times the screw heads were too marred to use.
Maybe try push-up handles if you're looking for something cheap. I bought these a while ago and have been using them for L sits and handstands with no problems CAP Barbell Push Up Bars (Pair), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0103AJ0IO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_WGllwtYUEbGMk

The bases detachable they're practically weightless too. Of course they aren't 100% stable for let's say handstands but for the for the things I listed they work fine.
Cost me $25 but price depends on which resistance bands you choose to be included. Here's what I got.
This is the site where I ordered extra cables from:

These because i'm going to a festival at the end of August and i'm quite out of shape and i'd like to get fit for then. Plus i can't really afford a gym membership at the moment.
I use push up stands to grip. Might even go lower than wrist depth? These basically.
Not saying I'm amazing at push ups. I was just trying to estimate a comparison multiplier.

I get bad pain in my wrist from multiple injuries but I found, using push-up stands eliminated that issue during push-ups. I linked some cheap plastic ones that I use I weigh 185 never broke them.

For years in college I used my Perfect Pull-up and Perfect Push-ups 2hen I couldn't go to the gym.. I just looked it up on amazon and this is a killer deal... The nice thi g about the perfect pull up is it doesn't screw into the door so you can move it and it doesn't cause any damage

I wonder if you used something like this as a prop for downward dog, or really anything that requires you to put weight on the heels of your hands, if that would help. I am definitely a novice at yoga, though. I just thought of this because I had a back injury and modify pretty much EVERYTHING to reduce risk of injury.
