It's a bucket for sunflower seeds. In the bucket there are 60 smaller bags of sunflower seeds so instead of opening a huge bag and not finishing it and having them go bad, you just open a smaller bag and have a better chance of eating all the seeds.

I've also seen ones imported from China, but I think those are not roasted, even though they are covered in spices. Any reason why you need the shell? I think it's super convenient that you can get roasted and pre-shelled here.
Yeah roasted seasoned sunflower seeds, you pop a handful in your mouth split the shell, eat the nut meat, and spit the shell. Hot sauce or Salt and Vinegar are my go to's.
