I know of iOS there is one flash light app that you can pick the colors you want blue, red, green and so on.
What might be a good idea is to buy used iPad 1s as those are easy to lug around. And they will be cheaper year by year. You can ask other people to hold them for you or get some kind of stand.

Also the iPhone 3GS has a brighter screen then iPhone 4 and 4s.
Maybe buy some really cheap Android tablets for lights. You can buy some for around 100 dollars. They are just going to be used as lights so who cares.

I'm using a Ipow Universal One Touch mount. I'm really unhappy with it though. It doesn't feel secure, and bounces around a lot. It's also tough to insert/remove the phone with one hand.
I used to use one of these in my previous car ("car", it was actually a minivan), but it's too big to install in this one. I really want to find something similar, but less obtrusive. Unfortunately I think I'll have to DIY something.
