That is a lid to a child's cup. My daughter has one just like it. The straw goes in the middle.
Edit: It's from a Contigo Children's Tumbler Here's the site. Look at the top of the cup.

For at home we do something like this.

For traveling we like the klean kanteen water bottles. Not a straw, but a spout & the kids got used to it quickly.

Not sure if this is the type of top you’re looking for: Philips Avent My Natural Trainer Sippy Cup, Clear, 5oz, 1pk, SCF262/03 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075GXMNLL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x6zDCbY7DY12H

We used this sippy cup when my daughter was 4 months old. Ultimately we switched to the munchkin 360 cup which we loved! Good luck :-)

You're probably not going to find a regular sippy cup that's made for hot beverages, but how about a cute little tumbler cup with a straw?

I found these and these are safe for hot drinks:

How about these ones? The pictures show it in a Yeti tumbler. They look slightly larger than a normal plastic straw, but smaller than what you described above :)

We love our stainless cups with silicone lids and reusable straws.

We've used these from 12 months to present day (3 years old). We sometimes go without the straw, but sometimes she has a toddler tantrum and demands the straw. We like the lid because if she doesn't finish her milk, it's easy to put back in the fridge for the next meal.

We use the Munchkin straw cup a lot but it leaks quite a bit. We also use these Munchkin ones and they barely leak and can really take a hard impact when my kid chucks them across the room. They’re super easy to clean too. I wish I could get him to use them all the time but sometimes he just wants a straw.

We had good luck with [this cup](Philips Avent My Little Sippy Cup, Pink/Purple, 7oz, 2 piece https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4QRALT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_qwDSAbNZPGCQ9) and just leaving milk out. Kinda squishy top and the handles are easy to grasp. Good luck. Hang in there mama.

I agree with the straw method. My son was EBF for the first 6.5 months and when I was going back to work, I was having trouble getting him to drink out of a bottle. It was suggested that I use straw cups instead. Look for YouTube videos on how to get them to drink out of straws. You’ll be surprised how quickly they learn. I recommend valve free straws (or else they need to bite and suck). Before you invest too much money on straw cups, just buy these silicone straws:nuSpin Zoomi Replacement Straws . Just cut a hole on the top of the nipple of a bottle (small 4oz bottles work best) and have your LO try with this ... once they get the hang of the straws, I would use these straw cups: Dr. Brown’s Baby’s First Straw Cups and replace the valve straws they come with with the Zoomi Straws. Good luck!

A Spout-less Sippy Cup like this. These things drink like regular cups, but are always sealed when not drinking, they get really junky with certain drinks like bloody marys, but for those you should just remove the lid.

What I do with these is JB weld a carabiner style clip to the side of the cup.

You have to try hard to actually spill these.

We used the b-box cups which are expensive and a pain to clean, but I do feel like it made the bottle transition much easier.

We've been using these as a transition. The straw inside is weighted and super flexible so it's always in the liquid instead of floating around in air.

Oh yeah? Did our ancestors have cereal bowls with built in straws so they could sip their sugary milk slurry like royalty?

u/Grkgdss00 · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

Can you put something tasty in them, like diluted apple juice or even cold water? My girl has been on sippy cups since we started solids (with water) so we've tried several different kinds. These are our faves this and this

u/ifeelnumb · 1 pointr/Psoriasis

Otezla has some pretty serious warnings for pregnancy and breastfeeding. I would look at topical alternatives, which have a lot more history. I was using Clobetasol as needed.

Wasn't medicating for pregnancy, but definitely had a reluctant weaner. What worked for the weaning was transitioning to real plastic straws by doing that thing where you put the straw in liquid, stick your finger over it to create a pressure vaccuum with a small bit of beverage and then put it into the baby's mouth and let go until they get that milk is coming out of the straw. Then we went to the sippy cups with straws like these.

I had a baby that got teeth and caused a reactive psoriasis patch on one breast, which required an immediate stop on one side. That went about as well as you can expect and cabbage leaves are wonderfully oddly effective pain killers for engorgement.

For inside the house we use these because they aren’t completely spill proof. When we go out we use these, spill proof unless you hold it completely upside down for awhile, then the water will come through an air hole. Both of them have silicone straws.

Edit: you can buy replacements for the straws for both of these cups if she bites through.
