Not the biggest load, but some load. Breakdown of the 5 technologies in the shoe
they should be fine if you're just running it once or twice, but running anything longer than a 400 in sprint spikes will wreak havoc on your calves. the plastic plate on the sole forces you to stay up on your toes, which shreds those calf muscles if you aren't used to toe running (they still do if you do usually have a forefoot strike, it just isn't as bad). it looks like the plate on your spikes isn't as crazy as some i've seen, but still expect to be sore the day after. tl;dr: there's nothing wrong with using them for the 800 as long as you're fine with being crazy sore the day after
if you're planning on being a regular in the 800, i'd suggest finding some cheaper, maybe year-old models of mid-distance spikes. it'll save you a lot of muscle soreness, as well as maybe improve your times by a second or two. the saucony endorphin md4 is the lightest mid-distance spike out there as far as i know, and it's relatively cheap for such a great spike
XC = Cross-country. Some cross-country trails involve loose dirt, sand, muddy steep hills, and other sorts of difficult terrain where you want spiked shoes for extra traction. Shoes like this: http://www.amazon.com/Saucony-Mens-Kilkenny-Spike-Track/dp/B0039UTO50

This is my recommendation for the 800-mile.

I wear flats for the 2 mile so here is my recommendation for that, but the hyper MD works just fine, theyve also updated it. I recommend going to a running speciality shop to see how various spikes feel first though.
Also, unless youre groomed at this and have done it before, wait until youre deep in the season and have talked to your coach before buying spikess.
Happy racing.
What would be a more versatile color scheme? Something like this?
I wear the Mizuno Wave Universe 5's. In a size 10, they weigh 6.28oz. After reading all the threads on BPL about the new vivo ultra shoes, I decided it didn't seem like the best choice for me.
Not sure what exact style of 574 you're looking for, but here are some of the ones that I found (a couple of the links have two different varieties of green in each style):

Alright thanks, will take a look into that! Was actually thinking of these: https://www.amazon.com/New-Balance-MXC700-Spikeless-Cross-Country/dp/B00R9YKYME/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1501549837&sr=8-2&keywords=racing%2Bflats&th=1&psc=1
What do you think?
Last season wore the Adidas xcs; https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Performance-Spikeless-Cross-Country-Running/dp/B01FZYT54W/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_309_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=1QE7VHVW6NNK80A8EST7
Some people may not like the color, but it's a super comfortable flat. If I don't like any of the new flats coming out this season, I'll be wearing those again.
